LeBron James got away with groin kick, shove during Game 3

Damn, Lebron Green!

The comparisons between 90s teams and teams after 2003 are stupid as fuck. MJ had to play against real defenses as did all the talent of that era. LBJ is an amazing talent but the game is skewed greatly towards offense now. I'm honestly not sure GS would beat those best Bulls teams. I don't see them getting up those 3s without a lot more pain. If Curry got injured last year, he sure as fuck would be walking wounded back then.

Different eras, different teams. Only one GOAT, MICHAEL JORDAN.

I know it pains many of you Cavs fans to hear this, but I do agree with Gaige that John Wall is the best PG in the East. Too many Cavs fans completely ignore that the team only has the ball about 50% of the time. Kyrie is not very good that 50%.

The shove was really bad. The kick was clearly accidental.

Wish that video showed how the other player reacted to it, didn't look like it had much force behind it in slo-mo but you never know.

Oh the guy who missed about as many games as he played and was hurt more than he wasn't?

I see.

The guy who was a 29-year old superstar in his prime, arguably 3rd best player in the league at the time, and who as far as Lebron knew would be healthy for the next 4+ years so that they could wreck the league together. You made a point about Durant's initial move not being competetive, don't change the subject. When Lebron went to the Heat, he built the best team he possibly could, a team they all thought would be good enough to win 5 titles or more. He didn't want competition, didn't give a damn about maybe building a team that was "too good."

I thought he built that Heat team to be able to compete with the Celtics Big 3.

When Lebron went to the Heat, he built the best team he possibly could

Of course.

It was also a 40 win team, with only one title between all of the big 3, from 4 years prior.

They had to fill in the starting 5 and most of the bench with has been ring chasers.

It's not the same as what Durant did.

That would've been LeBron being whipped by Bostons big 3 in the ECF and JOINING them.

He went to a totally different team to compete against them and eventually dethrone them.

If Curry gets hurt and misses more than he plays the next 3 seasons and Durant steps up and leads the Dubs in basically everything, then point proven.

Durant is the best player on the Warriors.

Hard to tell right now tbh. He benefits from the amazing players around him. Let's him rest let's him get open shots let's him do things on defense he couldn't without Draymond or Klay.

He's definitely good, but I think a bunch of it is thr system.

He definitely didn't look like this last year when the Dubs came back from 3-1 against him and he kind of disappeared. That was with Westbrook taking a ton of the load off of him as well.

I think we need to see more than one season with this team, especially since they went what 16-4 without him?

He was probably the second best player in the league the last two years. He's the best on the Warriors.

Steph Curry is my favorite player on the Warriors, but KD is the best player.

It's not the same as what Durant did. Durant didn't leave the best team in the league 2 years running because he personally couldn't get it done to go build an even better superteam. Durant left a team that wasn't the best team in the league (on which he had a rocky relationship with the other star player on the team at times) to go to a better team that had built through the draft and he was their major free agent signing.

So the best team in the league two years in a row was not the champion either time and not even the conference champion one time. Interesting.

94 Sonics and 06 Mavs, best teams in the league that year!

It's wonderful how having so many stats and numbers let's everyone choose the most convenient ones.

Side note, look at that 67 win Mavs team: 2006-07 Dallas Mavericks Roster and Stats | Basketball-Reference.com

Amazing they won that many games with that roster. Howard was good but Terry was always one dimensional. Tryharding in the regular season doesn't matter so much.

Because Dirk is a gravitational force on the court and everyone else benefits. JJ Barea's entire career is built off Dirk.

Problem is they ran into the perfect counter for Dirk (at the time) and the coach who knew best what Dirk's weakness was.

So if Lebron stayed in Cleveland and Bosh and Wade came would that somehow make it ok? Your argument has tons of holes in it. Lebron left a team without another superstar, Durant left a team WITH a superstar. Don't talk about not being able to get it done as some indictment on Lebron and just wash it away with KD. If you genuinely think Lebron's teams those years were the "best in the league," you're a fucking moron.
