A Dubs fan blog is your rebuttal? Seriously.
Stop saying Dubs. It makes you come off like a complete faggot.

Hopefully the Warriors can put away this joke of a team tonight. LeBron can begin his crying about it all summer and I can forget this sport exists.

So if Lebron stayed in Cleveland and Bosh and Wade came would that somehow make it ok? Your argument has tons of holes in it. Lebron left a team without another superstar, Durant left a team WITH a superstar. Don't talk about not being able to get it done as some indictment on Lebron and just wash it away with KD. If you genuinely think Lebron's teams those years were the "best in the league," you're a fucking moron.

There's only holes if you ignore the obvious, that those Cavs teams had the best record in the NBA 2 years running. Durant was not on the best team in the West. It was another superstar that he did not mesh completely with, this was no secret. I will talk about not being able to get it done when he was on the team with the best record in the league. "King" James and all that. He had to go to another Champion's team (Wade) and get another superstar to come along with to create a superteam to win.

Again, nobody is "washing it away" with KD. It was a beta move. But it was less bad than Lebron abandoning his home team which had been the best team in the league two years running because he couldn't get it done in the playoffs. The fact that he's about to be 3-5 in the Finals and potentially swept for the 2nd time in his career proves that whatever his numbers...when the chips are down, he hasn't been able to get it done when it mattered. Durant was basically the one big free agent signing for a team that was built through the draft otherwise. Beta move by Durant, smart move by the Warriors.

Please, just stop saying they were the best team in the league when they didn't win the championship. Call it what it was: the best regular season record team.

Swept in 07 when he had no business bringing that team to the finals? Solid argument, really contributes to anything. MJ couldn't make it past the Pistons without Pippen, yet I doubt you let that detract from his legacy right?

His best options were LARRY HUGHES in 07 and MO WILLIAMS in the following years. Studs who compare to likes of Thabo Sefolosha and Leandro Barbosa. Just because Lebron willed them to a #1 seed and dragged them to the finals doesn't mean they weren't the best team. Do you even believe the shit you spew? Or are you just hating Lebron because it's the "in" thing to do?

I've only seen one player "do it on their own," and ironically it was Dirk against the Heat. So yes, that will forever stain his legacy, but if you think 07 and losing to this GSW buzzsaw somehow negatively affects his legacy... get a fucking grip dude. Get a grip.

I'm not sure about your point here. If your point is teams were better then and there was more competition I agree.

My point is two-fold: getting swept in 07 and potentially swept again means nothing, literally nothing -- Kareem and Magic have that on their legacy as well; the Cavs were not best team during those years, they just had the far and away best player.

Why am I defending Lebron? God I fucking hate you people.

Swept TWICE Itlan. TWICE. And it's still an IF. They easily could have won Game 3 the other night. Christ you ignore the important points all the time. He gets mostly a pass for '07 because that wasn't even when the Cavs (back then) were hitting their stride yet.

That said, even Iverson stole a game from the Lakers. The Pippen argument is 10 times worse than anything you are claiming I'm making. Celtics/Pistons of Jordan's early career were true dynasties, each going to 3+ straight Finals. Lebron hasn't had to deal with any team in his conference that has even pulled that feat off in back to back years even back before he left for Miami.

Getting swept twice as the best player of his generation does negatively affect his legacy. Lets not pretend he doesn't have Kyrie and Kevin Love on this team. Win a game at least. I hate on Lebron because of what he did to Cleveland. He's still the best player in the league. But he does have his faults come crunch time in the playoffs, ignoring this is just being a white knigter of the highest degree.

I hate on LeBron as much as the next guy but look at the stats. Any time that he is off the court, the Cavs are getting straight up gutted.

So speaking of bitch moves, Draymond said today that he called Durant from the parking lot after game 7 last year and asked him to come to GS because he didn't feel they could beat Cleveland without him.

Hahahaha.

So speaking of bitch moves, Lebron had his people call the NBA league office after game 4 last year to get Draymond suspended because he knew he was going to lose the series without some sort of momentum shifter. It doesn't get more bitch than that.

As nice as this all sounds, even Green recognizes things could have turned out differently had Kevin Durant chosen another team. With four stars, including two of the five best players in the league, the Warriors are guaranteed a realistic shot at the title every season. There would be other chances; Green did not blow their last one.

"I look at it as we lost the Finals, but we ended up with KD," Green said. "That's a helluva consolation prize."

Green was already working on that as he left Oracle Arena after that gutting Game 7 loss. Green sat in his car in the parking lot and called Myers, telling him he had to sign Durant. "It's on you," Green told Myers.

Green hung up, stayed in the parking lot, and made another call -- to Durant. "That was my very next call," Green said. Two weeks later, Durant signed a maximum contract that put him in a Golden State uniform for at least one season, with several more seasons likely to come.

"If we win the championship, I'm like 99 percent sure we don't get him," Green said. "There are silver linings to everything."
