My team is in the Finals, and even for me this weirdly does not feel like a Finals series... The atmosphere, the production. I don't know.
Also, Kyrie just absolutely awful again. Crazy how banged up Luka is and that the game was even close. The talent gap is really showing considering the Celtics probably have, at worst, the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th best players in this series.
Still can't believe that Celtics front office managed to get both Holiday and Porzingis - Bucks practically handed them a title team and they avoided Denver which was the biggest roadblock.
Someday, this Mavs team will enter a Finals and not be at a major talent deficit. Always requiring Luka to play out of his mind.

And it's Basketball. I'm not a fan of todays game. If Boston wasn't in it, and damn good, I would care less who was playing. May as well MAKE it fun somehow.

This series is exposing for me that the Mavs roster building is just inadequate at the top tier. Too many wasted dollars. Tim Hardaway, Maxi Kleber, and Josh green combine for $40mil in salary, and provide almost nothing on a contender level.
They need to move off these guys and consolidate money in any way they can this offseason if they want another deep run.

I'm really not that mad because I think it was a borderline miracle this Mavs team ever made it to a Finals. This team is still clearly a move or two away, and were lucky to get an unhealthy Clippers team (oxymoron), and avoid Denver. It's been a big step in the right direction, but this team still desperately needs to clear some players and bring in a legitimate #3 scorer who can handle the ball a bit. Even a Jerami Grant type would be a big acquisition for this team.
They absolutely need to get off THJ's expiring deal, and probably move Kleber. Green still has some good value, but his size just makes him a poor fit on this team. DJJ has been amazing for us, but if you can retain him and move him to a big minutes bench role, and put a better offensive wing in the game, that would help.
This Celtics front office needs to send "Thank You" cards to the Bucks this off-season. I'm not sure if it would've mattered, but the Celtics could have not had an easier playoff run to a title. This has to be up there with the easiest runs ever.
