Greetings Intrepid Norrathians,

We've seen reports of some, uhm, not-so-awesome moments on the Ragefire and Lockjaw servers and we wanted to provide additional support. Starting soon (like today) you'll see several awesome volunteer guides from the player community on these servers to help players.

This is a bit of a trial program. Guides can answer your general questions as well as support our game masters with investigating reports of players cheating, training and other forms of harassment (such as spam, inappropriate language, and bad player names). We'll be looking at how this goes and how far we should extend this additional support for all EQ players.

You can contact guides by using the /guidehelp command in game. If you have any questions about what behavior is appropriate in-game, check out our Rules of Conduct here.

Do us a solid, and give our volunteer guides a warm welcome when they are on server! Remember that these guides are here to help!

Can't be a guide on the same server as a play account. Also, in this trial, only Senior and Elder Guides are working on Ragefire/Lockjaw. They are well known to us and have been supporting EQ for many years

Krono on RF are holding tight and rise as soon as the end of the billing cycle nears. I didn't 6 box until after I was 50 and Im at 94 Krono currently. I know a handful of people who are way over the 100 mark in the guild as well. What that tells me is the supply is still < demand on Ragefire or that a few key people are controlling the prices.

Damn son, thats impressive. Will prolly start playing TLP again once they allow xfers off Lockjaw. 6 months is for the birds

Not for Ragefire it isn't =p you can farm lets say Efretti camp for a day while watching TV now that there is 6-8 camps. That's about 20-30 krono in a day and your only issue will be random people peeking at the camp to see if you have mages and if they can KS you. People are camping the Ice Giants and averaging 20kpp in 12 hours as well.

You should come to Ragefire when you can Xfer, its not the devil or overpacked. The leadership in TL is very organized which is a nice change from P99 and the guild overall is a lot of fun even with Frenzic =p

I can PL also pretty easily with my boxes now if you do come =)

Shit id be over 100 krono if I didn't gear out all my 12 chars. Got all casters with smr's (8?) and traded 15 krono for two 50 mages lol. Krono is ridiculously easy to get.

I don't have a video on hand, but they're determined to get a rotation started. They've been socking raid mobs for the past 5 days straight, no breaks (They killed 1 Vox and 1 Innoruuk with bad loot) and when we contested them on Nagafen they finally snapped and told us they were going to continue to do this until we agree to a rotation. Which we're ok with at this point because we can just leave our alts at the spawn point and dps race them.

TL/DR we aren't agreeing to a rotation and they're going to have to continue to sock these 1 day raid mobs with 12-14 hour windows. While they were socking Nagafen with us yesterday we sent a box crew to go snipe CT and it blew their mind that we could be in two places at once. They're going to be in for a treat when they see what we have brewing for Kunark.

Why do I get the feeling you are just going to have entire raid force camped at every spawn, so there is no travel time when multiple things pop. With how things are atm, guild size + everyone and their mother boxing so many characters, you could literally be running multiple raids at once. And with Adv loot, you can move people around as needed to give out loot. Just have to be organized enough.

I'm really surprised no one has rolled a cheese force to contest you guys yet. You just bring 30-40 Mages and it becomes a huge hassle to deal with as a "traditional" raid force.

The Mage crew afk's at the sock area, set their pets in position and then when Nagafen/Vox spawns they only need one non-afk player to position the dragon and the afk Mage pets will auto kill it after one AE goes out. In comparison the traditional raid socking against them has to have players awake and buffed, and then has to actually tank/heal/joust etc.

For reference here is AD (Darkblood) in a dps race against MM (Citizen)

We have about 150 mage boxes at our disposal, we have 4-5 guys in our guild that 20 box. It only takes about 8-12 of us to fill an entire raid of 72. We often fill the raids and put our tanks/healers outside of the raid, so it doesn't really impact us at all.

We have a side project in the works with alts that are unguilded for some more excitement to be revealed soon.

No, the reason why boxes are more rampant on these servers is because of how easy it is to accumulate kronos. Personally I never boxed more than two characters, now I have 6.

2.Hardcore players get Kronos and build bot armies.
3.Casual player bitches that they can't get a shot at raid targets.
4.Casusal player trades ten Kronos for CoF.

Yep, I wasnt going to box more than two, and now I've got 14 (moar mages!). I only had 6 on Fippy and that wasnt until GoD.. just easy to get kronos and make another char.

And yes you have it right.. I even can farm magus in 5 diff instances, sell each mask for 3 krono..

Am glad we dont bring our boxes to raids, it gets annoying moving them around :p

I'm in Apok!

Its been a fun experience for me to play on the server. I just had my first baby -_- and once I hit 50 I slowed down a lot due to baby spawn, but from what I see the guild is basically a typical traditional EQ guild. Its kind of hard to compare the server competition to anything because I've never seen anything like it before. P99 was all about fast mobilization and traditional EQ seemed to be about #'s and knowledge.

Anyway, no doubt the TL guys had the right gameplan heading into the server and great job executing it. If you ever want to give me some loot pls as a father's day present, then pls do. I need 36% haste and don't know if it'll ever happen with you guys + this zerg army of people we have, so mage army pls pass that shit down.

I hope you guys don't get too burnt out & we don't get too heartbroken over mage army victories, keep on having some fun and enjoy this game while you can. Once those babies start spawning the poop socks are just sad empty socks again. Too white to hold loot. PS GIVE ME A FUCKING COF!

Really curious how many krono's they sell a month. Haven't played EQ in 12 years prior to the Ragefire release, and until recently could do 1-2 krono's /hr with one single lvl 45 mage doing HG's late at night. Add casual players like myself to the numerous bot armies, God only knows how much some accounts spend on this game.

Krono price on lockjaw has been holding steady at 2.3-2.5k . It's hard to come up with a scenario that the price doesn't continue to climb, but I'm torn on if I should continue to dump all available plat into krono, it's hard to know what server transfers are going to do to the price. Just sitting on plat is almost guaranteed to be foolish, but certain key items maybe will do better than krono in the next few months.

In a similar situation. Items like the SMRs, BAMs, and other focus effect items won't really be worth what they are now once Kunark comes around, right? Hardly been playing at all, and don't plan to play much until Kunark releases. Debating if I should cash in some of those items now and just invest in krono's?
