Quite a lot. Pretty sure not everyone has their gear they can use from classic, maybe you do but a lot of other people to gear out, especially with RF transfers.
With buffs the results could be significant. It could be the difference between being able to kill Trakanon at level 50 (day 1) or having to wait until nearly 60. But yeah ultimately server firsts are what you really care about, especially on mobs that act as raid zone bottlenecks.
ah yeah that is a good point. i was just thinking about it being mostly inconsequential for kunark (trak teeth aren't as much of a bottle neck as a lot of key quest pieces in later expansions), but velious and later it does become a lot more of an issue.
How is that even possible. I can't think of a single left left to loot in classic on my main or my alt?

Well had I stayed playing Stefanie I would probably be bis by now. We had several Paladins who were playing a lot and Zaide asked for wizards so I made Rerolled to be more helpful to the guild. I have sat and watched three Paladins be geared out who then promptly quit, now 3 or 4 more from transfers. Now I have been top five dps for guild for weeks watching cloaks go to people who also quit. No conspiracy against me just really shitty timing/luck.

Our gazillion of new members from RoI need loot. Other than that most of our premerger members are down to 1 or 2 loots. I only need my damn AoN!
