Ditch DEX and run just Focus / Con if you're going to be using any Focus weapon. Then get the Conversion gem and place it in your Spear.Yeah, the classless system is actually...great. I expected to go hammer/axe with some minor sword and board along with life staff as my ranged and off heal but found that I really enjoyed spear way more this time, so just switched over to Dex and went Dex/Con/Focus rather than Str/Con/Focus and used armor to bring my strength along. I have been also getting points in the other weapons as I go so at 24/25 I have 11/12 in spear, 7 in Sword and shield, and 9 in life staff and 4/5 in almost everything else, not including ranged weapons. If I want to go switch over to Fire staff/Ice gauntlet/Rapier, though, that is a respec and just a bit of grinding away.
How impactful is the armor change? I was all heavy in the beta but now am mixing med with smaller heavy pieces, terrible for looks but I am not tanking anywhere. How important will be later on?
esc menu and i think when you hover over the box, it'll show a settings cog at the bottom right where you can hide any of the channelsChat is definitely aids. Is there a way to turn off the recruitment channel?
Well, the issue with that bear is that its needed for a quest, and only ONE person can skin it to complete the quest. Its ass.I personally enjoy the inherent danger of fighting fast respawn mobs at appropriate level range but it could be indeed be toned down a bit. I also wouldn't mind something notifying you if it's a "group" elite (doable by 2-3 competent players) or 3 person (1 competent player) needed.
That elite bear grin/gren or whatever its name is for example if anyone has run across that yet. I started fighting it solo when I was one level below it and after it whomped me for half my health in one hit I decide to kite it around w/ bow. I would have run out of 1k arrows before getting it to half health if other people didn't show up to damage it. It's basically a baby raid boss. Other random elites in same level range I just steamroll.
"Feed" is basically your custom configuration, right? So the toggles you change only affect the "feed" channel when you have it selected?esc menu and i think when you hover over the box, it'll show a settings cog where you can hide any of the channels
Beats me lmao, their chat UI is so dog shit its bewildering all i did was turn off everything outside of faction and group/company chats"Feed" is basically your custom configuration, right? So the toggles you change only affect the "feed" channel when you have it selected?
How the fuck do you turn off level-up notifications without turning anything else off?

Yeah feed should be what shows up for you, default is everything on so you should be able to "uncheck" the channels you don't want in there."Feed" is basically your custom configuration, right? So the toggles you change only affect the "feed" channel when you have it selected?

Wow, you managed to find the zoneline to FFXIV: Endwalker.
Don't click on it?? Edit: Apparently ya'll been using feed. I see.Chat is definitely aids. Is there a way to turn off the recruitment channel?
You can transfer stuff between banks within your faction for a small fee.Yeah feed should be what shows up for you, default is everything on so you should be able to "uncheck" the channels you don't want in there.
they need more visual, UI, chat, options. just quality of life shit
Having your mats split all over the different cities is starting to get old as shit.
Yeah, I can't figure out how all the assholes come to places I mention on an online forum talking about the game. It's weird. So to add to the "level or harvest" discussion, I've noticed the masses finally figured out that you need absolute shit loads of low tier mats (iron, hemp, etc). So now a place like Windsward is just swarming with assholes taking all the hemp.
I went over to Restless Shores and there was an absolute shit load of hemp everywhere. I don't think it'll be but another day or two before people figure it out (I did see a few people there, including someone in their 20's). I'll probably just get enough to get my armoring to 100 for T4 bags and then say fuck it (because honestly, even with 2 T3 bags I almost never get overweight anymore).
Also, regarding my issues with running out of quests, I decided to just run some portals since people said it's good exp. It's fantastic exp. I also recouped my 700 azoth hole in about an hour. Plus as a bonus you get fucktons of chests (although, not too much in it was worth a shit). Up to level 39. Will probably run some more portals tonight to hit 40 and resume the quest grind.
Oh, 2nd bonus is that it's insane for your city. I had 4 points from running em. And when you need level 20 to buy the T4 house, that's gravy.
