Problem for Evans is he played more games than Beckham and is still behind him in stats. It's not a totally fair comparison, ignores variables with each guy's situation etc, but when it's 2 guys playing the same role in the same position one is going to overshadow the other. When I say it's going to be Beckham to win I'm not saying he's clearly the best choice, he's just clearly the one who is going to get picked. We all recognize no Lineman is going to get it, even with Murray's gaudy numbers as a sort of surrogate set of stats in his favor.
Hill has been great, but he's only really been a #1 guy for half a season and he hasn't put up the gaudy numbers of Beckham either. Plus he's a bit fumbly.
Looking at a midseason prediction thing on NFL.com 3 experts picked Martin, 1 Benjamin, and 5 picked Watkins.
How crazy is this rookie WR class BTW? We're not even talking about Kelvin Benjamin or Jarvis Landry, and only one mention of Sammy Watkins. Of course their stats are wildly inflated by the current state of the league, but still they're all really impressive. And that's not even mentioning guys like Brandin Cooks, Jordan Mathews, Allen Hurns, John Brown, or Martavis Bryant. All of whom have made some kind of real impact.
edit: That's a pretty sharp hat except for the logo being Pats.
