Dalton ruined it for rookie QBs by leading his team to playoffs immediately. Wasn't a rookie QB starting unheard of before Dalton?

I don't think it was unheard of.. Flacco and Ryan, maybe? Definitely the first to make the Pro Bowl his rookie season though, I think.

Edit: I can't find a definitive list. Google fail.

Definitely not unheard of. And yeah, Flacco and Ryan were the ones that screwed it up for expectations, not Dalton. They both ended up in the playoffs their rookie years.

Yeah it was probably that way more than Ben Roethliberger going 13-1 and getting to the AFC Championship game before leading his team to a Super Bowl victory in his second year.

They announced Bortles wouldn't start a couple months ago. Got ahead of that talk early and said Henne fo sho. And they've stuck by it despite the usual media circlejerk over the rookie who played well in a preseason game.

Manziel will get sacked a lot, he thinks he's in college and can out run people when he clearly can't as he was run down by 4th stringers with ease.
