6 games, sure whatever, that is what Rice should have been out for at least. But lifetime ban, huh? Just make it a year for every incident after the first.

Now take recreational drugs off the substance abuse list.

All for making the punishment steeper, but year, this sounds ridiculous with a lifetime ban for what the league considers a second offense. Starting to get tired of the NFL trying to function as a second pseudo legal system. Potentially banning a player for life for a crime that they're not convicted of is horse shit.

This isn't about justice. Its about money. The league is trying to get more women to watch, and can't be seen as a league that is at least okay with domestic violence.

Typical knee-jerk reaction. I hate the NFL being the police, but as much slack as some of these fuckers get in our legal system, I'm having a hard time arguing this one. I don't know, the world is burning or something.

if you're convicted of domestic violence you should be banned for life and have to pay your current team for their mistake in drafting/trading/signing for you.
