Another suspension for a Cowboys defender | ProFootballTalk
Cowboys defense really does seem to be cursed.

100% agree. Totally dysfunctional from the owner to the GM to the coach.More like poor leadership/staff.

So you're saying he's going to start for the Seahawks? Not a Cowboy for long, that guy was about to get cut.
All for making the punishment steeper, but year, this sounds ridiculous with a lifetime ban for what the league considers a second offense. Starting to get tired of the NFL trying to function as a second pseudo legal system. Potentially banning a player for life for a crime that they're not convicted of is horse shit.To be counted as an "offense," a player would not necessarily have to be convicted in a court of law
This isn't about justice. Its about money. The league is trying to get more women to watch, and can't be seen as a league that is at least okay with domestic violence. All for making the punishment steeper, but year, this sounds ridiculous with a lifetime ban for what the league considers a second offense. Typical knee-jerk reaction. I hate the NFL being the police, but as much slack as some of these fuckers get in our legal system, I'm having a hard time arguing this one. I don't know, the world is burning or something.Don't overreact or anything NFL.
It was Gordon's second offense.Knock your wife out? Miss a couple of regular season games. Smoke a joint? Year-long complete ban from the team.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
if you're convicted of domestic violence you should be banned for life and have to pay your current team for their mistake in drafting/trading/signing for you.6 games, sure whatever, that is what Rice should have been out for at least. But lifetime ban, huh? Just make it a year for every incident after the first.
Now take recreational drugs off the substance abuse list.
