Better according to the team no longer having a racist name. Who gives a shit how prevalent it is? An outdated slur is still a slur. You don't see teams out there called the Faulty Armors or Bagel Eaters.
Because it's a superficial change. What positive effect will changing the team have on Native Americans? There's nothing happening in the NFL right now other than TMZ Johnny Manziel gossip and a new cornerback every day claiming he's the best in the game going on right now. I think if there was actual football going on right now most people wouldn't give a shit.
So because you don't think they should be offended by it, you deem that it shouldn't be changed.

I'm not telling them that they should or shouldn't be offended. I just haven't seen any evidence that they are. If somebody did a decent poll and found out that a large percentage of Native Americans felt that the name was insulting to them then I would support changing it. As it stands though, the only poll was decades ago and about 90% of them didn't have a problem with it or even liked it. I don't know why they don't do another poll, but as of now if you were to find the root cause of the movement to change the name, I think you would have to conclude that it's getting changed because it makes uptight white people uncomfortable and gives certain liberal blowhards a chance to tell people what to do.
So if only 10% of the black people in the country were offended by you calling them American Inventors, you'd think it would be ok for you to name a professional franchise viewed by hundreds of millions of people, The American Inventors?
