His contract is structured so that he would only give us a 3.25 mil cap hit last season and then ~18 mil one this season, we had free agents to sign last year. But yeah, he's overpaid that's not exactly a secret.

i understand "statute of limitations" in no way applies here. But the concept i think applies... things were different back then. Even if they handed out vicodin like candy - that doesn't carry the same impact and connotation as it does today.

Many of those players didn't get the pay day that the current gen players get and played in a time where player safety wasn't even on the radar.

You basically helped build the league, got paid peanuts and sacrificed your body in the process. Now that there is more money than anyone can really count at stake why not find a reason to sue and get some more?

So I ran into Jay Cutler's personal assistant at the social club yesterday, he was telling me that Trestman told him that Jay is playing better right now than any quarterback he's ever coached. He said Trestman told him that he would easily put Jay in top 3 QBs in the NFL right now.

What would he know about that? Kosar played 2 full seasons in 12 seasons. Cutler played 3 full seasons in his first 4 seasons alone

I can see him getting around $17 mil/year. It's a little more than what Larry Fitz and Megatron are making right now and I'm sure Green can command a contract of that size.
