Depends how much is guaranteed. If it's not some huge number then it won't matter much when they cut him in 3 years.

I thought I read he gets 18 MILLION a year for each of the first three years. I really hope I read it wrong.

That doesn't necessarily mean its his actual cap hit though. There has to be a cap related reason for the contract being seven years. Will be interesting to see how its structured.

Article says $54 mil guaranteed. It also says it's comparable to the Aaron Rodgers extension last year. Too rich for Cutler IMO.

Surprised this Kluwe Deadspin article isn't getting any attention here. Not many of us really care about the Vikings though, heh.

I just finished reading the Kluwe article. After Huber was placed on IR because the Steelers are a bunch of assholes, the Bengals brought in Kluwe for a tryout. I would have dug signing him, but I think his outspoken personality did him in. At least he knows it.

He crucified the ST coach (Priefer) in the article. Frazier and Spielman didn't look too bad. But the court of public opinion will probably be ugly for Priefer.

Its probably largely self promotion for Kluwe and Deadspin anyway. He admits himself, if he wasn't unemployable in the NFL before, he is now. But if he releases another book after this he will sell tons of copies to gays and liberals supporting him. Everything will blow over for the ST coach and be forgotten by the media.

It's a sad world when you have a religion that is supposed to be focused on loving everyone, forgiveness, and living like Christ is used as a platform for people's hate.

Can't say that it's a complete shock that there's homophobes coaching in the NFL.
Not even a little bit of a shock.

Doesn't mean it should be ignored though, especially saying "We should round up all the gays, send them to an island, and then nuke it until it glows." at a special teams meeting.

After listening to the tape of Greg Williams talking about the 49ers, I'm really not surprised about anything that comes out of a locker room anymore.

He's basically begging his players to cause concussions, in time where people are fucking dying from brain damage from concussions. A lifetime ban from the NFL wouldn't have been enough.
