Really though, its not that much different than any other trade bait. If teams know the guy will get released they aren't going to deal a draft pick rather than wait for a shot at him in FA. Maybe for true elite players but I think many GM's are leery of getting burned on those trades these days. Picks are better in the hand. Obviously the gang stuff didn't slow him down too hard, though it IS the Redskins we're talking about.
