Kind of looks like this was the tried and true Redskins free agency signing. The team allegedly has no financial protection from his behavior unless the league formally suspends him for something.

I mean, you don't protect yourself from a guy who was apparently too hood forPhiladelphiaof all places? This is the team I know! If anything it'll probably get us on SNF/MNF vs the Eagles at least once...which is more than the team would have deserved with last year's 3-13 effort. And probably plenty of Florio articles speculating on if/when Jackson has become the locker room cancer he was rumored to be in Philadelphia.

Still too many questions/holes on defense, o-line, special teams, etc. to get really excited about a big free agency signing. Fully expecting this team to be a tattered bag of dicks again.

And this is why I'm cancelling Sunday Ticket. Fuck watching the Redskins every week. They're not worth my time anymore. Same shit year after year for decades.

Another example (probably worse than DJax) is resigning Ryan Clark. Shouldn't have ever let him go in the first place, but now you're bringing him back in after his career should be over. Why?

Dude is fucking terrible, why anyone would pay him money is beyond me
Well...

edit: Jericho Cotchery goes to the Panthers. Meaning they now have a receiver with over 20 receptions!

And also that the Steelers have a single NFL level receiver left on the roster. Fuck...

Really though, I expect him to mostly play special teams and 4th WR. That's if Markus Wheaton lives up to his potential and fills the slot.

Also Bey is like 3-6" taller than the rest of their receivers. I swear to god the team is going smaller and smaller to spite The Ben for saying he wanted a tall receiver a couple offseasons ago. There's been some rumbles they'll grab Mike Evans in the draft if he's still on the board at #15, but they need so much secondary help and a NT I'd be kind of surprised.

Its a stacked receiver draft as well. The way Evans' stock has risen I wouldn't be surprised to see him top ten or at least see someone trade well into the teens for him.

I want the Cowboys to take Evans if he's there - I don't think they are keen on paying Dez with all the maintenance he requires to keep him from blowing up off the field.

Plus, what team has ever won anything with one of their highest paid players being a WR? It may be the new running back - draft guys in 2nd and 3rd round and make due, then replace them in 3-4 years with new draftees.

No way. Not at this point. Top tier WRs are not a dime a dozen. Most rookie WRs suck balls and take a while to get going. Sure, you might be able to grab a 500-700 receiving yard WR in the 2nd or 3rd round consistently, but that player isn't a game changer - or might not even be as effective without a #1 talent. You always need a formidable #1 WR to allow that guy to get open space.

It's true. The east side is very pretty this time of year. Well, at least in the strip clubs.

There are probably 5 receivers that are right around him, talent-wise. They just don't get as many targets as he does because their QB doesn't throw it 700 times a year like the Lions do.
