His deal was structured to be extremely back end heavy and will require a reboot after this year, otherwise his number (14 mil this year) goes to 28 and change next year. The dead money is an insane 21 million due mainly to Ray Rice being a 1 time charge and the proration of Ngata's signing bonus. Those are huge hits which they won't have next year.

Edit: If they paid these guys by the tackle, they would work for free.
