We really need to give up on that guy. I was ever-hopeful but after last year and how it appears he's made next to no progress this season I'm ready to cut our losses there. The Bengals could really use more CB depth after the Dennard injury. It already sucks knowing that Tate will likely return every kick going forward - which means a touchback is about the best we can hope for.

I'm still not sold on Kirkpatrick. Dude is Jekyll and Hyde with his play. Yesterday was great, but then there will be weeks where he's about five feet from his receiver most of the day. Time to bring back Chris Crocker?
Even if Hunt does manage to reach his ceiling he isn't reaching it here. Let him go. Get more depth. The team is too close to being a super bowl winning team to try and carry some projects which may pan out in 3 years.

Also I'm a Dre fan. He's basically the antithesis of Hall. He'll play off the target to try and make the big play interception. Hall will almost always be where you need him but will rarely astound you.

If you don't think the Pats O is decimated from injuries idk what to tell you. That's no "excuse," it's a plain fact. I don't understand the circlejerk for Pats hate. Never will.

David Carr had it worse, but yeah being a Jags QB in the last two decades is like wearing a bulls eye on your back.

I am guessing you have never spent any time around "Boston Sports Fans"....

Also, Brady looking for the flag every play does not help matters. Frankly, a lot of players are doing too much of that, including some on my own team. I am kind of sick of it and think they should implement fines and/or Unsportsmanlike dead ball penalties for excessive jawing with the refs. The only thing worse than the shitty reffing is watching players get up from a play and immediately go crying for the laundry. Hey asshole, stop playing the ref and star playing the fucking ball. Maybe these guys would be making better calls if they didn't have some entitled asshole screaming for a flag every other down the moment the whistle blows.

Maybe you don't carry 4 fucking tight ends and you have more depth to cover for injuries because, you know what, injuries and people not playing are part of the game.

As far as the Pats hate, being from New England and seeing all the bro-fags up here who in the 90's were wearing Niners and Giants jackets who all the sudden wear Pats jackets now is pretty funny. On top of that every week I have to read in my Facebook feed 300-400 times about how the Pats beat up the fucking Dolphins or some other shit team. Like we get it, you beat Dallas without half their team. Grats. So did literally every one else who played them in that 7 week stretch....

Every single QB hell most players does this now days. Rodgers is just as guilty of jumping up and whining to the refs. Fuck the Pats but that shit is hardly unique to New England. Frankly the issue is solved by the refs not giving in.

I usually see QB's raise their arms up like 'Seriously?', but Brady's the only one that constantly screams in their faces every time he fucks up

Belichick probably coaches that up. It's not that Brady is a whiny baby, it's that they have realized by berating the refs like that they will eventually get more calls. This is an organization that has proven they will do anything* to win afterall.

I really have to hand it to Belichick, he plays the odds that the refs are complete fuckups and won't call certain fouls or even catch it every time it's being done. It's generally a successful strategy. I'm sure he's also telling his guys to lobby for a flag as much as they can too.

I think Carolina and Cincy might be the only contending teams not seriously compromised by many injuries

That's just off the top of my head though. Let's see if I'm close.

Ehh, close enough. Minnesota, Denver, and Arizona pretty lucky o the injuries so far as well.

So NE has missed a fuckton of games, but(as of last week) they weren't generally huge impact injuries. I expect that their bubble climb a lot over the next few weeks though, what with Edelman and maybe Gronk missing games.

Also look at that Steelers bubble. I should probably cry more about my teams injuries.

Sneaky Pete does this shit a lot too. And as I said, it pisses me off just as much when I see Packer players doing it (probably more so), though there is a mountain difference between Rodgers giving the ref some stink eye on a close PI non call and Brady bawling out the refs every time dirt gets on his jersey. Frankly, I would rather they just flag people for it. The whole working the ref game that goes on with WRs and DBs is the worst, by far, however.

Injury Stuff.
Steelers have gotten fucked bad by the injury bug and all in impactful areas. Dallas had ALL key people get hurt, which is why they are where they are. Packers regularly have moderate injury issues, but it gets amplified by the fact that we have no depth due to our constant "draft only, save the money" Ted Thompson team building, though this year losing Nelson has hurt us a lot. Our issues are all coaching related. NE mostly gobbles up low money players to fill specific needs and dumps them the moment their is a more cost effective option, so they really have not felt it until Edleman and Gronk went out at the same time.

I'll say it again, I think the Patriots' offensive and defensive systems are designed to be as plug n' play as possible. It has been for a long time. It also adapts to current trends very well and has adjusted to Brady's skillset as he ages (someone noted a while ago he doesn't throw many deep balls anymore). That's why they can have success year after year no matter who the coordinators are, and also probably why Bill's coaching tree is shit. They also play the draft game very well so they constantly have new talent coming in, plus they're smart about who they bring in via Free Agency. Oh, and they have no qualms cutting ties with someone.

Basically, they're heartless.
