I have come to the realization that I'm sick of all the SB crap. Two weeks of non-stories and bullshit media hype. Apparently top story on ESPN right now is Newton vs Manning rivalry. What fucking rivalry? Sweet Jesus on a corn cob, at least come up with something more believable. Who's ready for 9 hours of pre-game dribble that is basically "news" from past two weeks delivered to you by has-beens in badly fitting suits, all trying to sound important and relevant? I have decided to watch none of it. Not even sure I'm gonna watch the actual game, if not then I'm gonna play some xcom 2 and watch it tomorrow where I can skip all the million fucking commercials and pc halftime show, cringe worthy post game interviews and winning teams' QB winning the MVP for the gazillionth time

Eh? He played the Seahawks twice, Texans, Bucs twice, Titans, Patriots, and Cardinals. Out of 18 games, that's 8 against top 12 defenses.

It'd be incredibly difficult to find many teams playing a schedule with a significantly higher number of games against good defenses.
This is exactly right. Some people here are either letting the homer go wild or are using talking points from some random writer. At the most important points per game stat, Seattle is still #1. Beat twice by the Panthers. Pats, Cards, Texans also top 10 with allowing under 20 a game average.

Im not saying Denver isn't very, very good but this isn't the best defense of all time. This isn't some amazing group that we've never seen their like before. Carolina has played similar defenses and Newton will have a very hard time against this team unless there's some breakdowns. Carolina only lost once for a reason though. They find ways to win. I'd be much more worried for Pey Pey. Last time he saw a top notch defense in the SB, he wilted like a lily in the desert.

Don't watch any of this shit anymore, I'll be muting the fucking halftime show too. Helps that I'm just treating this like another game, not going to a party or anything. Sports media is bad enough the rest of the year without this full retard mode.

I rarely watch NFL. But at least someone is playing I got to see play in high school. Watched Manning play in the playoffs against the team where Doug Williams (former NFL QB and superbowl winner) played and he was there. Odd coincidence considering the school is in the middle of podunk nowhere with low enrollment.

Even in high school it was a big draw of people to see him play, lot of people drove in from out of town to see it and it wasn't in New Orleans.

Crown Cam! MVP

Remember when Ambiturner called him overrated?! Wish I saved that one..
He's definitely played better than I thought he would. I also have no problem with him winning MVP, mostly because nobody really separated themselves from their peers enough this year. Might as well go with the QB on the best team.

Still think people who believe he had an "all time great" season are on crack, though.

Cam is becoming a real QB and not just a RB with a decent arm. Proved me wrong.
What's funny is outside of much more TDs(passing), this was a pretty normal year for him(completion, yards etc).

I dunno if its just the rest of the team finally came together or what but obviously everything clicked this year.

He did it with Ted Gin and a rookie...

Talking heads won't stop talking about how it will be a low scoring game.

Incoming high scoring shootout.

It just occurred to me that Vernon Davis has a chance of getting a ring 3 years after he completely forgot how to football.

Talk about decline, holy shitballs.
