This board has way too many Steelers, 49ers & Cowboys fans.

It's like non stop ball washing of each other.

"haha +1 internet Grimm b/c you also dislike the Patriots!"

Cute.

Serious question, I thought Grimm and Genj were the only 2 main Steeler fans here, are there more?

Even if they are, that's 2 too many because they refuse to worship in the temple of the Patriots* and kiss the rings of the high priest Bellicheat.

Hey Convo, I might have found out what's wrong with Murray.

This season, more than most others in recent memory, definitely does not have a clear playoff picture. This is going to be a really great year, albeit the Cowboys are out early due to awful injuries.

Given the status of the NFC East, I don't know how the Cowboys can be written off yet. Despite the injuries, they already have 2 wins in the bank. The very fact that I'm sitting here wondering how the Redskins could somehow win the division with an 8-8 record tells you all you need to know that counting any of the teams out of this shit show is premature.

I'm no fan of Dallas, and yeah they are racked with injuries, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the playoffs.

Ah the ol' pencil in a win for the 0-2 team vs the 2-0 team that just is off beating an AFC playoff contender and completely dismantling the team (Raiders) who just beat everyone's AFC darling the Ravens
Settle down, Nancy. Let's not forget who your QB is.

In the next 8 weeks Cowboys play: Falcons, Saints, Patriots*, Giants, Seahawks, Eagles, and Bucs. Only 2 good teams in there and after the Saints game they'll have Greg Hardy, Rolando McClain, and Randy Gregory back. With that defense Weeden just has to be a game manager and go .500. If he can do that Romo will come back with a winning record and probably the division lead.

Falcons/Patriots/Seahawks don't qualify as good teams? Also can't think another Giants game is a gimme since they should have beaten you last week.

Huh? I said there were 2 good teams in there, but no I don't consider Falcons good. Dallas outplayed Giants the entire game and were only losing because a couple INTs bouncing out of receivers hands. Cowboys defense pretty much shut them down and they'll be vastly improved next time they play

Yeah I was counting the Falcons as good. Not calling them a contender but I don't think it'll be an easy game next week at all. You outplayed the Giants with Romo though, and I doubt they're going to keep blowing 4th quarter leads every game.

Actually, this season is pretty clear in most respects, outside of the AFC North and NFC West. The Cheatriots are getting their usual free ride to home field advantage, the Colts are doing their early season bed shitting, and the usual suspects of other divisions are running at 2-0 right now.

The AFC North is interesting, because the Bungles look good but we all know what happens when they get prime time coverage. The Steelers are back to being two teams and everyone wondering which one is going to show up on a given Sunday. The Ravens are in free fall right now and I think its because Flacco is not getting the chuck it up for the flag play (nor is anyone else) this season like he is used to. Ravens are generally more consistent down the stretch, but they have put themselves in a sizable hole. Fortunately, neither lose is in the division.

The NFC West has Seattle's chickens coming home to roost, but they get five easy to win games ahead of them. Really, this division will come down to whether or not Palmer manages to stay alive all season or not. I think they were stupid to leave him in as long as they did against the Bears, so my gut tells me that Seattle sneaks to the top again, assuming they get their internal drama in order. Wilson is going to have to throw in order for them to have any shot at home field, though.

Realistically, I think the Cowboys still take their division, but I doubt they can win on the road in the playoffs (if at all), so unless Weedon becomes Matt Flynn 2.0, it is safe to write them off as SB contenders at this point. The NFC is really going to be whoever gets home field between the Packers and Hawks. Packers have the inside track on this, but are beat to hell with a lot of McCarthy Brain Fart games yet to happen. I think the Ravens are the only team with the right tools to topple the Pats at home and the Pats are going to get home field. The LoLphins will be lucky to hit their normal 8-8 this year, the Bills are not up to the task yet, and the Jets are.... still the Jets. Unless Brady gets syphilis from banging Afleck's nanny, the Pats will coast into the playoffs at 13-3.
