Yea but NFL network is just as bad.
Their GameDay Morning crew ALL picked the Bills over the Patriots with two of the talking heads actually picking Buffalo to win the FUCKING DIVISION.
I was telling my father in-law, who is a huge Pats fan, that I wasnt buying the Bills bullshit and he wholeheartedly agreed before going on about Bradys record against Buffalo etc. I mean, for not one of their pre game pundits to pick New Egland is laughable, and smells bad from a propaganda standpoint. It makes them look like crybabies instead of just fucking moving on and saving face at this point.
ESPN is garbage on almost all fronts now, but I still like Gruden.

You would say a lot of stupid things if you had to talk about football 52 weeks out of the year and make "interesting" predictions about every possible aspect of the NFL season without actually watching any of the teams play. We are the stupid ones for thinking that some talking head on a network trying to make interesting television would actually know what was going to happen during actual football games in the future.

Ok. But I like to watch pre-game shows on Sunday to get information related to fantasy, injury updates, and game analysis for picks/viewer enjoyment. Im not saying they have to be clairvoyant but when 5 people on a panel pick against the Patriots against a Bills team they won 23 out of their last 26 games against, coming off a SuperBowl, and a great performance in their opener, something is fishy.
i appreciate the sentiment, but consider that no one on the planet wants to hear anyone pick the pats (outside of NE), let alone when there's even a chance an upset could go down. What do they lose by picking the Bills?
if theyre right theyre smart, if theyre wrong then whatever fuck the patriots anyways

I think the off season just turns into a big echo chamber where somebody says "Oh I think the Bills Defense is going to be good this year" and then it gets repeated by 20 different prognosticators and they hear each other say it and pretty soon it becomes a fact even though it was just based on ass talk from the beginning. Once we get a few games in the picks will be more based on reality.

I dont know maybe Im seeing a conspiracy around every corner now with the NFL and the Patriots given the fallout with Brady and the deflate-gate bullshit. Not only that but the chatter about them having it in for ESPN as well makes me think the NFL is a vindictive, selfish body that actively tries to undermine any apparent or suspected dissent or opposition.

You fuckers thought I was crazy when I said the Cardinals are going to be the team to beat in the NFC if Palmer stays healthy. Fuck, I firmly believe they would've represented the NFC in the Super Bowllastyear had he not gotten hurt. Arians is a great goddamn coach.

It's not crazy at all. Problem is what do you think Vegas would set the over/under on number of games Palmer plays this year, 8?

I just think not a soul believes Palmer will make it through 16+ games healthy. If he does, landscape in the NFC changes I think, especially with Seattle's slow start.

Palmer will go down and watch, lets see here, late round pick...hmm...Matt Barkley take them to the Super Bowl as he watches healthy in the playoffs from the bench. Then they'll let the Cards cheat on defense all game (or just a normal Seahawks game) and they'll win with a last second field goal.

I think it was Tony Kornheiser that used to talk about this a lot. The talking heads pick underdogs and longshots a lot more than they really believe because people will remember the times they are right and forget the times they are wrong. Especially since they'll keep reminding you about the times they were right and making it sound like they were the lone voice bold enough and insightful enough to see the upset coming.

I have no idea how all these professional analysts don't understand the #1 rule of the NFL. If you don't have a QB you don't have a team. Taylor is better than Manuel but they're both still fucking bad.
