I'm amazed the Bears didn't trade Cutler, actually amazed they didn't trade him plus Forte and Jeffrey. This past weekends loss to the Vikes was just terrible. Anyway, that's my monthly non-interested Bears fan comment.
I'm also surprised nobody traded for Cutler and that reasonable contract.

Someone would have to actually want Cutler and his contract enough to actually give something up for him.

Some interesting Hoyer stats from Rosenthal:

Should be noted that 5 of those TD passes came after being down 41-0 to Miami and 42-0 to Atlanta. Not that he hasn't done some good things this year, but if that doesn't qualify as garbage time I don't know what does.

This sounds like they may try to keep Peyton around... you don't fucking trade away a 1st and 2nd for a veteran O-Lineman unless you think you have a QB worth it.
Sounds more like they are desperate to keep winning this year and get that superbowl before Manning is gone. They've lost two LT's this year. Giving up those picks for a guy his age is pure desperation, its in no way a good idea for the team's future no matter what QB you have.

Yeah they're just going all in on Peyton and hoping these trades get them this year or next at the latest and then they'd have to almost start from scratch at that point.

Right, this was my read on it. If you're making this deal now for a guy at his age (still elite now, but this isn't a 24 year old who's going to the Pro Bowl for the next 10 years cornerstone LT) while giving up your 1st and 2nd this coming year? It would be an all in knowing this is the only decent year Peyton has left.

They are probably better off that it didn't happen. Even if you won the SB this year you're helping to handicap the team. Better to be a contender in upcoming years IMO. But they are definitely going all-in mode, they pretty much have been ever since signing Manning, that was the entire point.

I think Luck is hurt and just tries to half-ass it so he doesn't hurt during the game. Then we get fucked and he plays through the pain to try and dig us out of the hole.

To what end? To draft one of the Elite college QB's coming out?... Trading Jeffery makes especially no sense.
I'd say it's clear this is Cutler's last year with the Bears and they are going to start over. Why pay Allen so much to play for the Panthers and cut Bostic while playing McClellan still who is terrible. Jeffrey is amazing when healthy, unfortunately that's not a guarentee that often and he's looking for a huge contract.

No fucks given Jay is still better than anything than the Bills or Jets are trotting out there and they actually have solid overall teams that could make a run with a good QB. Cutler's contract really isn't that terrible with only 1 more year left.

Jeffery is an elite talent, they probably want more for him than any team will give. At least they get the chance to negotiate for him in free agency and retain him. No one's giving up a nice second or better for him right now, which is what they'd probably expect.

As bad as Cutler is, I can think of six teams off the top of my head that would improve immensely if they traded for him. Problem is everyone has seen what Flacco's bloated ass contract is doing to the Ravens and no one wants to go down that road, either.

Luck's problem is he has the interception gene, he'll have it his entire career like Brett Favre. He's had 55 int's in his 4 years so far, 18, 9, 16, and 12 already this year. Dude is a turnover machine

I just wonder how much Pagano had a hand in Pep's firing to save his own ass. Could probable add Grigson as well.
