I feel like Rivers and Ryan get a lot of free wiggle room considering they've largely done dick all with their careers.
The consistently bad franchises in the NFL have been bad specifically because they don't have a franchise QB. Comparatively, the Chargers had Brees and then Rivers, and yet haven't gotten far into the playoffs except for 2007.

That goes to show you how bad their front office is, when they can't surround a top 5/10 QB with enough pieces to have a deep run in the playoffs. Look at Roethlisburger and Eli comparatively - their teams were stocked with talent each time they won their respective SBs. The Chargers never really had that good of a cast, except for that small run in 06-08 with LT and a good defense.

It's unfortunate that Rivers will go down as the lesser of the 3 QBs in that draft class, even though he's had very comparable stats to both Roethlisburger and Eli, just never the same talent level to win it all

Relevant to what? What is the overall point you're trying to make genius? Say it.
Up to date research is hard for some of these fools.

At least let me offer something pretty current.

Real Football Network

The short yardage game for New England has evolved into the quasi running game where they can complete high percentage passes in order to create more favorable down and distance situations for their offense. New England dominates on 3rd and short. The reality is that throwing the ball down field isnt that efficient and creates unfavorable 3rd and long situations. There are no good 3rd and 10 plays, but there are playbooks filled with great 3rd and 4 plays. Its the matchups they create that make it easy for the offense to dictate pace and tempo.

Can Brady throw down field? Duh. Turn on any film from 2007 and watch one of the greatest downfield passing exhibitions of all time. But then things changed and the book on Brady became "Get A Gap Pressure on him and force the quick throw". So Brady changed. Some of that came with the rise of Gronkowski and his dominance, but a lot of it was in response to what teams were trying to do to him. You see your AFC East rivals investing heavily in Defensive lines, so you adjust. These teams spend 100s of millions of dollars working on a defense designed to get pressure on Brady and he completely nullifies it by releasing the ball in 1.8 seconds on average. Chess vs Checkers.

But guess what... I don't see lots of teams playing the Patriots without safety help over the top. If Brady wasn't capable of throwing the ball deep, teams would be daring him to. They don't seem to be willing to do that.

But then... He would just adjust again if they did.Tom Brady Surprised By His Improved Deep-Ball Accuracy In Patriots Passing Game | New England Patriots | NESN.com

I'm amazed at how many Steeler players and fans think Burfict's tackle on Bell that resulted in him getting injured was intentional. Looks like a pretty textbook tackle to me. Steelers can't handle being worse than the Bengals.

I'm a huge Steelers fan but those guys are retarded. Nelson maybe came in a tad late up high on a guy already getting tackled and possibly out of bounds. It didn't cause the injury though. The injury was caused by Bell having a body made of Glass. Dude seriously needs to start taking his Flintstone Vitamins.

Uh no.......

There is not a person on the planet who who would not suffer that injury when tackled from behind from someone who leaves their feet and brings all their weight down on the side of your knee. Im not even saying this was malicious, the one Nelson gave Bell two years ago looked way more malicious than this hit. But jesus christ, watch the video from the close up angle......it was just unfortunate he couldnt get his leg unplanted in time.....but that shit on a normal person without the muscle strength around it would probably have torn all the inner ligaments etc far worse.

Is it wrong to find enjoyment in the fact that Murray has less yards this year than the guy Dallas just cut?

Rivers is on pace to break the record for single season passing yards. His team is just pure shit both coaching and on the field.

You put him on a real team and we are talking GOAT territory.

If Jim Tomsula is the 49ers coach next season it will be incredible.

He must of had a great interview.
