SF is probably the most dysfunctional franchise right now. Even worse than some of the typical ones you think of like Cleveland, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Cincinnati. The fact that Harbaugh was ran out because the GM wanted more credit is by far the stupidest action in the modern era. And now that he's gone they're cellar dwellers.

It's hard to even say if Tomsula has done a good job with all the other shit that has gone down with the team this year. At this point we should be trying to lose out and get a high pick to start looking for the next QB prospect.

Both of them probably for similar reasons. They end up playing from behind and passing a billion times. Not that Rivers isn't better than Stafford, it helps to have Megatron out there catching balls. But still, lots of that is just garbage stats as much as evidence of super quarterbacking.

But any even casual fan can see Tomsula is out of his element. He doesnt belong in charge of an entire football team. He was a great defensive line coach. Now your asking him to keep ALL of the egos in check and make all the final decisions for every important aspect of the team.

This offensive if historically inept, and its not hard to see why when you have literally zero offensive creativity and leadership. Keapernick wasnt even capable of calling an audible never mind read a defense to find the openings. If Blaine Gabbert somehow comes out and throws the ball around and wins a game im going to just sit back and enjoy the show lol.

Maybe the media will start making comparisons to when Harbaugh went with Keapernick over Smith, and now the cycle has been reborn with Blaine fucking Gabbert taking over for Sackorpick.

They need to let zombiecoach go as well. He certainly won't survive any new GM to come in. Unless ownership's plan is to get as high a pick as possible. Because that has worked out well for them over the last two decades...

That goes to show you how bad their front office is, when they can't surround a top 5/10 QB with enough pieces to have a deep run in the playoffs. Look at Roethlisburger and Eli comparatively - their teams were stocked with talent each time they won their respective SBs. The Chargers never really had that good of a cast, except for that small run in 06-08 with LT and a good defense.

It's unfortunate that Rivers will go down as the lesser of the 3 QBs in that draft class, even though he's had very comparable stats to both Roethlisburger and Eli, just never the same talent level to win it all

I thought the charger's problem was the super bowl curse. Any time they had a decent team with a shot, they'd be hosting the SB that year and fall apart.

After last year's TNF fiasco I wouldn't count on a blowout. Only hope is how many Browns starters are out. Haden always shuts down AJ so with him out the air attack should at least make an appearance. First primetime game of the season so of course there's some nervousness here.
