Why would the other teams have to be worse than 8-8? If Cowboys beat the Redskins both times they'll most likely win the tiebreaker.I just can't see every other team in the division going worse than 8-8, and Cowboys aren't winning out after this week with Carolina/Green Bay/Buffalo/Jets/Skins x2 on the schedule
There is literally zero room for error here. Getting Romo back is all well and good but every single time the team was in a position to win the game someone different fucked up and caused them to lose. The only thing I think Romo can do is potentially turn some of those 0 pt drives into at least field goals and some of those 3pt drives into TDs. That might be enough. Why would the other teams have to be worse than 8-8? If Cowboys beat the Redskins both times they'll most likely win the tiebreaker.
Cowboys can still lose to the Panthers and have a legit.shot at making the playoffs
He can keep drives alive which wears down the opposing defense and keeps the Cowboys defense fresh. That's the biggest reason for their success last year. They absolutely dominated time of possession. There is literally zero room for error here. Formulating a game plan for another guy? So Peyton should be up on all of Brocks strengths and weaknesses? No but it is his job to try and give his team the best chance to win. If that includes sitting down and formulating a game plan with the coaching staff and the starting QB that means attending some fucking meetings.
If PeyPey is going to play OC on the field he should play OC in the meeting rooms as well. I'm sure Brock showed up for the QB meetings when Peyton was the starter.Formulating a game plan for another guy? So Peyton should be up on all of Brocks strengths and weaknesses?
Given how badly the Giants have owned the Redskins (and more specifically, Kirk Cousins) the last few times, I expect them to beat us (hoping otherwise). I also expect them to beat the Eagles as well, which means Dallas would have to sweep the Skins to even match the Giants 4-2 divisional record (assuming all those things happen that way). I don't see Dallas sweeping the Skins as a lock, weird things always happen in our games. If it goes beyond divisional record for the tiebreaker, Giants are already a game and a half up in common opponents with wins over Tampa (who beat Dallas) and Buffalo (who Dallas still has to play). Why would the other teams have to be worse than 8-8? Peypey can play "OC" on the field when HE is throwing the ball. There's a difference between calling YOUR own plays, and calling plays. If PeyPey is going to play OC on the field he should play OC in the meeting rooms as well. I'm sure Brock showed up for the QB meetings when Peyton was the starter.
You nerds clicked an Azeth* link. If it has "New England" or "Boston" in the URL, don't fucking bother. Homer rags.Peyton Manning Reportedly Not Helping Brock Osweiler In Meeting Rooms, On Practice Field CBS Boston
Why should he? Does anyone actually think it's his job to help develop Brock?
None of it is a lock, but it's miles ahead of the idea of Cowboys needing to win out to have even the slimmest chances of making the playoffs.Given how badly the Giants have owned the Redskins (and more specifically, Kirk Cousins) the last few times, I expect them to beat us (hoping otherwise).
