The thing with drafting is every single pick is a gamble and nothing is guaranteed even the so called "best" talent. To early to tell if any of it will pan out.

Hopefully Curry comes back for an all-time great WCF between the Spurs/Dubs, because the Western Conference playoffs look like they will have been borderline unwatchable up to that point.

Preston: Ravens risk-averse draft shows how Ozzie Newsome has lost his nerve - Baltimore Sun

Lots of fans in Baltimore hate this guy and his opinions/criticisms, but he really sums up my feelings/fears here. We got a franchise LT and then shit the bed for the rest of the weekend. Who knows maybe it will all pan out but I can't help feeling like we missed a chance to get at least one more guy who could start this year.
This is funny because I felt like he really did well with all those 4th round picks he had. Lot of names I was thinking would be in our ballpark (although we traded out of the 4th) that Ozzie snatched up off the board. Colts kept taking guys I wanted a couple picks before us each round too. Still, like the draft we had, and added 3 picks next year.

I really didn't pay attention to the Eagles draft after Wentz, because none of the rest of them this year really matter. If Wentz is the real deal and takes the Eagles to the promised land, this will go down as one of the greatest Eagles drafts of all time. If he ends up Leaf-ing it, it will be one of the worst drafts of all time.

It's still a year too late though, this shit needed to happen last year with Chip and Mariota. Though I lived in Fargo ND for a few years and I am pretty pleased that it is an NDSU man coming to try to be the savior.

Bucs still make me lol.

Was reading an article earlier that said word on the street is league execs are calling taking a kicker in rd 2 as the dumbest pick in the history of the draft. Yea, I get that kicking is harder but...that fucking team has won 23 games in 5 years. 2nd round kickers are luxury picks, no check that, not even luxury picks for teams who have won the SB in recent years. You wont see them taking a kicker in rd 2. Well, its actually worse than that. They traded 3rd and 4th round picks to TRADE UP for a kicker. Kid would have to be the greatest ever to justify that shit, even then it would be hard for all the good players teams find in rd 3 and 4.

What a shit show, their fans should be pissed.

I will say I heard some impressive stats on that kicker, and they showed a ton of video of him drilling 50+ kicks with room to spare. Kicking always seems hit or miss in college, even for the elite programs at times. Kid never missed an extra point or a field goal under 40 yards in his college career? Did I hear those stats correct? Still don't think you trade a 3 and a 4 to move up and take a kicker in round 2, but those stats are pretty sick.

Glad to see getting rid of Lovie didn't get rid of the stupid. The only reason you trade up is to grab a player you think someone else is going to grab. I don't know who else was going to grab a kicker that early (ghost of Al Davis maybe?) but apparently they got spooked enough to make the jump.

Now the kid can spend his career chasing Tucker and Bailey.

Eh, hopefully they are right. There's a lot of fluffing but its not without criticisms here either.

What is the NFL average on kicks inside 40 yards over the past 5 years? 93.4%
What is the NFL average on kicks outside 40 yards over the past 5 years? 73.3%

What were Aguayo's college averages? 100% from inside 40 yards and 73.4% from outside 40 yards.

So he is just better for kicks which already have a high percentage anyways.

Dan Bailey is the best kicker in the NFL, and is on pace to be the best ever or some shit. 94% of fgm last year and was an undrafted free agent......
Josh Brown of the Giants was tied with him as was Steven Hauschka also at 94%. Brown was a 7th round pick, Hauschka was also an undrafted free agent.

Bucs are retarded

The only way he would be worth it is if he never missed a kick under 50 yards. That won't happen.

If you think Romo is worth about 7 extra points a game on average, which seems about where his value lands, then adding 7 more points to all the losses except the Carolina one, they pull out 5 more wins. Saints, Seahawks, Eagles, Bucs, and Jets. All lost by less than a TD. 7 more points puts the second NYG game into overtime too.

Face it Convo, Romo is what drives that team. When Romo went down, they lost a good portion of their offensive scoring potential. *shrug* It is what it is. They'll be back with a vengeance this year.
WTF Moon? My Saints have mercy not whipping the shit out of you by more points and you throw us under the bus? This is why I was happy when we fucking crushed yall in 2013 embarrassing yall in our house! We set a first down record that game and the last first down was a run up the middle by Pierre Thomas for like 10 yards before time expired LOL.

Someone please for god's sake put together a list of all the insanity convo has claimed as fact. That shit needs to be entered as record and used against him in the Court of Rerolled as he is restricted to the Rickshaw next season.

Here.. I'll do it for you...

Eagles will be 8-8 or 9-7 if Bradford is our starter and we will be a Defensive minded team that runs the ball a lot.
Giants will win the division
I can't remember, what else is there?

As for what moon was saying.. Romo isn't a consistent QB, so no I won't just accept that they win all those game b/c he's playing. In 10 seasons started, he's won 8 or more games 3 times. Romo would have went full Romo in some of those games and still lost them. They would have been 8-8 at best if he started all last season.. Very inconsistent team all year. And you can put me down for him just being done as a productive QB in this league going forward. :)

Romo is a very consistent QB. The only year he hasn't posted a 90+ QBR was last year when he played in four games for all of probably 12/13 quarters of Football. You can argue all you want about whether or not Romo belongs in the Elite conversation, but he does have the stats to back it up. The problem is, as with any QB, is that when you ask him to do it all you're going to eventually have times when it backfires spectacularly. This basically defines the 2011-2013 seasons. Romo was the only reason they were capable of being in those week 17 matchups for the division title. 2014 was when it all came together and guess what? That was probably the most complete team Dallas has had since 2007. And as an aside, he has more 4th quarter wins than losses, but people always remember the mistakes more than the triumphs.

He's looked brilliant at times but has also had some epic failures and aided in giving games away. I'll never forget that Denver game but I don't view him as a consistent quarterback.. Regardless of his rating. He's done some serious bonehead shit in games. Old article but this is always how I viewed him, I admit tho, I don't watch all his games.

Tony Romo: Cowboys Will Never Win Super Bowl with Inconsistent QB | Bleacher Report

Basically I don't think he's changed.. He was due for a few games where he came out and threw 3 interceptions in the first quarter or fumbled his way to a loss..Not having Dez for a lot of those games would have made things much harder on him as well. Can't wait till season starts to watch all my predictions prove me right!

Got a question. I only really follow the cowboys closely, but it seems like most years when looking at the draft results we wind up with more "first round talent" than we have first round picks. For instance, this year aside from zeke, we got that LB who came to us pre-injured. They're saying he's really first round talent and would have gone early if not for the injury. Last year I think we actually had 3 they were saying that about if you count la'el collins who technically wasn't drafted at all.

I figure that's got to be a trick where there are 100+ players that at some time or another were expected to go in the first round. Either that or Jerry just takes more risks than other owners. Does every team make that claim?

I don't know, but the Redskins also apparently got a "first round talent" in the 3rd round in Kendal Fuller. He was injured though, so his "draft stock fell."

I also swear we got one a year or two ago as well.

My take on it, since I don't really give a shit about college players nor do I follow the draft that closely (especially 6+ months prior to the draft occurring) is that it's a load of shit. Most of those guys fell for a reason, and if there are injury concerns, it's probably for good reason.
