Eagles drafted a bunch of late round future convicts that slid to those rounds because they are future convicts.

He's looked brilliant at times but has also had some epic failures and aided in giving games away. I'll never forget that Denver game but I don't view him as a consistent quarterback.. Regardless of his rating. He's done some serious bonehead shit in games. Old article but this is always how I viewed him, I admit tho, I don't watch all his games.

Tony Romo: Cowboys Will Never Win Super Bowl with Inconsistent QB | Bleacher Report

Basically I don't think he's changed.. He was due for a few games where he came out and threw 3 interceptions in the first quarter or fumbled his way to a loss..Not having Dez for a lot of those games would have made things much harder on him as well. Can't wait till season starts to watch all my predictions prove me right!
Oh, you mean the Denver game where he also threw for 5 TDs and led an offense that scored 48 pts? The same game where their defense, which was dead last that year, was about as effective as a wet paper bag and allowed 51 pts? Yeah, let's blame that loss on Romo.

What a shit show, their fans should be pissed.
Definitely pissed here. They had a need at S and could have drafted Vonn Bell with that trade up, but instead picked up a kicker who will at best be a slight upgrade over our current kicker (who they just released obviously, even though our previous kicker was #12 in career accuracy). To make matters worse, the Saints picked up Bell like 2 picks later.

Whats also unfair about this is Aguayo - he's definitely a good kicker but now the expectation of being a 2nd round pick means he has to be better than Dan Bailey to even justify a 2nd rounder on him. If he had been picked in round 4 instead, the expectation would have been slightly better than league average

All you Bailey fans avoid him like the plague in fantasy, Cowboys will actually be able to put it in the end zone this year.

Yeah the Aguayo pick was stupid but it isn't near the end of the world cataclysm of stupidity everyone is making it out to be. The rest of the draft was solid, they got what they needed. Sure they gave up a 3rd rd pick to move back in to the second (not counting the 4th that got traded since it was a freebie from the Bears). I'm under the assumption that the Bucs were targeting him in the 3rd round all along and got spooked for some reason and decided to give up that freebie 4th to make sure it would happen.

Fuck all the so-called draft experts. All they are grading is how close teams came to their mock drafts. As someone else said, you can't really judge a draft for at least a couple years after it happened and everybody knows it's a crap shoot regardless.

Agreed early grades are bullshit, need at least 3 years to judge a draft class.

Pretty much, especially for teams taking QB's early (like this year and last year). Bucs last year everyone was questioning the maturity of Winston and his ability to behave. The result? Absolute model citizen and did a hell of a good job on the field too, set all kinds of Buc QB records despite being a rookie. The two OL taken in the 2nd both started the entire year (one missed three games, other missed none), and 4th round pick Kwon Alexander (LB) had 93 tackles, 2 INT, and 3 Sacks despite only playing 12 games. People weren't too high on him and he turned out to be absolutely fantastic. He'll be a rock solid starter on defense for many years to come, especially when paired up next to one of the best LB's in the league Lavonte David. 5th round pick Kenny Bell missed the whole season after he got hurt in August so really nothing to judge there, hopefully he makes an impact this year.

Cept for 2nd round kickers.

The guy will have to be the greatest kicker in NFL history to live up to that pick. Unlikely given he isnt anything special past 40 yards....at least Janikowski was that.

That's the point I was trying to make earlier - if he isn't a top 3 kicker in his first couple of years, then he will be labeled as a bust. And the only reason those standards are so high is because he was drafted in the 2nd. Had he been drafted in the 4th, the expectation bar would have been way lower.

I think Aguayo might come out to be a fine player for us. I just don't think he'll ever live up to the expectations of being a 2nd round draft pick, unfortunately.

Famm.

Mcshay's best picks for all 32 teams (Insider article though $$)

But the relevant part.

Baltimore Ravens

Every fourth-round selection

Seriously. This might be the best fourth round I've ever seen from a team. The Ravens got CB Tavon Young, who can be a really good nickel corner. They got WR Chris Moore, the No. 46 player on my board and a true vertical threat for big-armed QB Joe Flacco. They got OT Alex Lewis, who can develop into a starting right tackle. They got DT Willie Henry, an elite run defender. And, finally, they got RB Kenneth Dixon, who runs with good power/balance and has some versatility in the passing game. General manager Ozzie Newsome killed it on Saturday.
Now...yeah, 4th round. I'm not sure how many times a team has had FIVE 4th round picks in one draft before. Still, Ozzie always smashing Day 3 of the draft.

Midget CB who can't play outside, yet another one trick pony straight line WR with route running and drop issues, depth lineman who may or may not ever pan out, sixth running back in camp who looks like a world beater when he has big gaping holes but also fumbles too much.

Meanwhile we can watch Jack and Spence turn into elite all pros somewhere else, but its ok because look at all the VALUE!

So where can I find 2013 draft grades that were done in 2016?
You see occasional articles grading drafts from a couple years ago. Dallascowboys.com does them occasionally for Dallas players. Not sure where you could find league wide grades, but I'm sure they're out there

I guess everyone views it differently. I get wondering why you passed on Jack/Spence each in the 2nd, I still think those guys you don't like so much could turn out to be solid (at least most of them)...and to get that in the 4th is great.

I feel like they do it a year or two years later on espn.com, where Kiper or Mcshay do a redraft. Might only be the 1st round of each though, and not much on "X team's draft that we thought was this, actually turned out like this"
