Zeke might have a chance if he rushes for over 2k. Problem there is everyone is always going to give the O line a lot of the credit. Although truthfully, they clearly would deserve some of it.

Two points. One, Zeke getting MVP is a nod to the O-line and secondly, it's super impressive he is doing this while everyone knows the Cowboys want to run the ball and with a true rookie QB. I like his chances even if he's under 2k

Guess it depends on who's voting. Some might see a vote for Zeke as a nod to the O line, others might think he shouldn't get as much credit because he's doing what he's doing behind that O line.

Meh, we just disagree. I'm saying the people who think he has the line to thank would vote for him because they aren't going to vote for a pulling guard, but want to acknowledge the line. By ignoring Zeke, they ignore the great play of the line.

Well, I think Tom is going to be looking at ~4k yards and 30+ TD's in 12 games while the Pats put up their usual 14 win season so I feel like unless Zeke goes HAM and gets north of 2k and like 15 TD's, he's out.

I wasn't saying I disagree, just that I'm not sure what the mindset of voters would be. When it's a vote for who is considered the most valuable player, I wouldn't be giving a nod to a unit like the O line by voting for Zeke. I'd have to weigh what he did and how much of it was his ability and play versus playing behind the best O line in the league. Not voting for Zeke doesn't ignore the play of the O line at all, it actually might be guys paying more attention to how much of the credit they should get.

With that line of thinking it's tough to vote for Brady then. Garrapollo was just as dominate before he got banged up.

Actually Brady's numbers are still a little superior. And he's already done it over a sample size twice as long as Jimmy G.

500 yards and 4 TD's in 6 quarters...

And Brady has 1,319 yards and 12 TD's in 16 quarters. Jimmy G with the slightly better yards/quarter (although he missed the final 2 after they went up big, probably would have ran the ball a little more), but Brady has the better TD's per quarter.

And the stupid kicker for the Giants they tried to sweep under the rug so no one would even find out. This is after promising six game minimums for DV offenses after the Rice fiasco, and then they can't even be bothered with their own rule rather than just more coverups. But yeah, its drug testing rules that the public really wants to see you cracking down on Roger.

The retarded part is I bet it's marijuana. He had issues his rookie year I believe, with Fred Davis.

Edit: Haha. Apparently is may be because he missed a test. The fucking NFL is such a joke. Beat a woman? 1 game. Or maybe a season. Who the fuck knows? Miss a drug test? That's a quarter of the season!

Speculation is he missed a test because he had smoked though. For a guy who plays through as much as he does, I'm sure he likes to smoke a little here or there.

Meanwhile, SNF with an actual premier matchup for a division lead between popular teams....lost in the ratings by like 30% to a WS game five. I'm glad they are robbing a contending team of their starting LT because they cling to an archaic backwards rule on marijuana while retired guys complain its better for pain than the addictive opiates the teams shove down their throats.

Mark Cuban was right about this greedy Goodell era two years ago and its starting to come home to roost in ratings and fan fatigue with the declining product quality and market oversaturation.

It's bullshit. Gregory got his extra 10 this year because he missed a test... Because he checked into rehab earlier that day.

I mean, I agree, but when you're a team captain, and it's happened before to you...not what you want out of a team captain and underrated as one of the most important players on the roster. Hurts when we're facing the toughest stretch of our season next, as well.

I'm pretty sure Gregory knew he would fail the test and checked into rehab hoping it might reduce his punishment or at least lower the chances he'd get cut.

Norv Turner out in Minn. Apparently a resignation not technically a firing. I'd assume he was given an option to walk unless there's some personal shit not being reported yet.
