Yeah, he's a goner. My expectations are they'll trade back into the late 1st or second round to grab a QB, struggle next year again then fire Fox and hopefully this shit show will right itself.

No bones about it, Cousins has been pretty good this year overall. The question now is how far will they open the checkbook up and what will ripple effect will that have going forward in terms of bringing in outside talent?

Cutler era pretty much over now. Jay Cutler expected to miss rest of Bears' season

They can cut him this year and only hold $2m in dead cap money. I'm sure some QB needy team will take a flier on him unless he asks for too much. Given his extremely inconsistent play and injury history, he won't likely have a lot of options.

Be interesting to see how the QB market shakes out. At this point I don't see us letting Cousins go unless we overpay. So of the available guys, there will likely be Cutler along with Fitz. The Romo option will be there for someone who wants to pay a king's ransom of picks.

They will open up the checkbook. But we can lose one WR of Jackson and Garcon and save money there. Let Doctson get healthy in the offseason and start to contribute. With Reed and Crowder we will be fine.

I realize teams need QBs... but after all the shit in Chicago... why would ANYONE take Cutler ever? How is he not just fucking done in the NFL?

I could only see another team taking Cutler at a greatly reduced price.

Then again I have been surprised in the past by the people the NFL recycles.

I guarantee you there are coaches who think he could be good in the right system or with the right coaching. Probably a number of teams who would give him a shot.

I could see him doing well in AZ to be honest. Give him a few seconds and let him go deep. I'll be glad to see Cutler go in Chicago because it's been a rough ride but I also believe he's gotten a rough shake (some of it very much self induced) but the franchise is a mess of Browns magnitude and he's either had a new coach or OC basically every single year he's been here.

Maybe a fresh start will revitalize that drive to win he seems to have lost in Chicago.

Someone will want him but they shouldn't and if you want to know just how short on QB talent the league is, Manziel was the last QB to win for the Browns.

I'd imagine there's a few teams that would take him on some kind of cheap incentive laden contract. Plently of teams have a real shitshow at the position.

The biggest question to me is who is going to get suckered into giving Garppolo a Brock Osweiler type deal and then immediately regret him turning into a pumpkin.

Didn't he have a pretty good year under Gase last year? I mean the team has a ton of holes and has for awhile, but I thought people were predicting a down year for him because the Bears lost Gase since he is head coach down in Miami now.

Yeah, they promoted their QB coach from last year who was once the Titans OC for their 3 win seasons. Dude is pretty easy to game plan against...Run on first down, Pass on 2nd, screen on third and long.
