If it were a Sunday game then I'd put the chances of it being a normal NFCE game as fairly high. As in, highly contested and chippy, down to the wire. But coming off that late game I have a hard time seeing Washington not fading as the game goes on. While not nearly as egregious as what the schedule did to Dallas in 2014 (SNF game on road, then Thanksgiving), the lack of meaningful recovery time, coupled with the need to fly down, is going to take a toll both physically and mentally. We'll see. If Dallas does what it has been doing against suspect rushing defenses (and Washington is rated pretty low on that scale, 30th according to Football Outsiders as of last week), then they may run away with it and heavy legs will set in for the Washington Defense.

Not sure why 2014 was more egregious. Since you were home for Thanksgiving it's roughly the same. Both having to play the night game Sunday and traveling to Dallas for Thursday game at 430. Both just terrible scheduling decisions by the league, but they're basically the same. It'll be an interesting game for sure. Run defense was very suspect earlier in the year (I still think it's not great, but we're up to 21st in yards per game), although we're 1 of only 2 teams to hold Elliot under 90 yards rushing (Giants the other). Granted, those were both the first two weeks of the season, so could just be him finding his groove behind that line...but he was also benched at least somewhat late in our first game for 2 fumbles.

We'll see if playing the Ravens' D has any lasting effect on short rest for you guys. Also your secondary is still a little banged up, no? There were just tons of opportunities down the field for us that we didn't take advantage of against you the first go round, I imagine if you're secondary is still banged up there will be more. Since he finally got the starting job, Kelley has been pounding the ball pretty well for us, getting better each game, I think. Dallas is allowing over 4 yards per rush (20th in the league)...might need to try to play some ball control and keep your D on the field longer than they are used to.

Honestly I think it has to be more of a shootout for us to have any chance, I don't see us being able to hold you guys below 20 points. Hopefully they just leave Norman on Dez to try to make him less effective, and we find good ways to limit the run. Turnovers and big negative plays will be key.

Elliot didn't hit the century mark via running in several cases, including this last one. His total yards from scrimmage has eclipsed 100 pretty much every week since those first two games though, once he started figuring things out. I wouldn't expect a repeat performance. You make some good points though.

2014 was more egregious because typically away teams fly home right away. I don't know about you but sleeping on a plane does little to actually make me feel rested, and I'm not an NFL athlete who spent 3+ hours getting banged around by other large men in armor. So there's a very real chance most of the team didn't get to their homes until close to 6am in the morning and to bed shortly after. All of that taken together just messes up your body clock and it takes a lot longer than two days to get it right again. The Redskins at least were at home and the flight to Dallas is after they've had some time to rest. I still expect the turnaround to affect them, but the Cowboys were sluggish from the opening whistle. It might not hit Washington until later.

All signs point to a high scoring game, two of the top five offensive teams, a shit defense and a respectable but banged up defense on a short week. So naturally the game will be low scoring and won by a Dan Bailey FG.

Are you saying If the redskins D can't slow down Dak and Zeke, the skins might have a shot? I guess if we keep scoring quick, our defense won't be able to stop the skins either, but if they get rest they might get some stops.

Edit: Nevermind, I misread. But it's a funny thought, so I'm leaving it.

I like how before Romo can even be traded significant interest is being shown by multiple clubs according to Ian Rapport. Cutler is going to be out there as well I believe, the off season is shaping up to be an interesting one.

I think if this season has proved anything it's that the Redskins are going to open their wallets and bend over for Cousin's. Going to cost em more than if they had signed him last year too.

It might, depending on what he asks for. Rumors were we were offering some term at $16M a year and they wanted $20M a year. I'd imagine 20 would be the starting point this time around, but it depends what he feels about some of his targets around him (if he wants to keep Jackson or Garcon). We've got some contracts coming up this year and next that will need to get done besides him...so probably will have to make some tough choice. Good thing we have quite a few draft picks this year.

Uh...no. If they don't at least limit Zeke Dallas will do what it normally does, run the fuck over us while the D gets a good rest. I think Dallas' D is a little overrated, not so much in how they are playing, but if a team can actually not let them grind out long drives continuously their D will start to show the wear.

Doesn't seem like any QB cares about what players they are able to resign but Brady. I would expect at least 20 mil.

Given where the top QB's salaries are going to go after Luck's deal...I'd probably live with $20M. I've always tried to be tempered with rating Cousins, just because the turnovers were such a problem early in his career. When he looks like he did last night though, makes me think he has potential to be top 10.

Yup. They really need to stop blowing the whistle when they think the play is over, since that makes it non-reviewable. Pretty stupid

Reffing has been a hot mess. Wish they would go with some professional refs so at least their bullshit would be consistent.

Wow, holy shit just saw the replay. That just fucked me out of a 100% fantasy win. Man, it's been a tough year for Hopkins and then they fuck that up??!?!

Why are you blowing it dead if you aren't 100% sure?

This isn't rocket surgery.

The NFL is going to have to institute a centralized review system for some of this shit. They've literally put in many safe ways that trigger automatic reviews for refs to not fuck up games and they still manage to do it.
