If it were a Sunday game then I'd put the chances of it being a normal NFCE game as fairly high. As in, highly contested and chippy, down to the wire. But coming off that late game I have a hard time seeing Washington not fading as the game goes on. While not nearly as egregious as what the schedule did to Dallas in 2014 (SNF game on road, then Thanksgiving), the lack of meaningful recovery time, coupled with the need to fly down, is going to take a toll both physically and mentally. We'll see. If Dallas does what it has been doing against suspect rushing defenses (and Washington is rated pretty low on that scale, 30th according to Football Outsiders as of last week), then they may run away with it and heavy legs will set in for the Washington Defense.
Not sure why 2014 was more egregious. Since you were home for Thanksgiving it's roughly the same. Both having to play the night game Sunday and traveling to Dallas for Thursday game at 430. Both just terrible scheduling decisions by the league, but they're basically the same. It'll be an interesting game for sure. Run defense was very suspect earlier in the year (I still think it's not great, but we're up to 21st in yards per game), although we're 1 of only 2 teams to hold Elliot under 90 yards rushing (Giants the other). Granted, those were both the first two weeks of the season, so could just be him finding his groove behind that line...but he was also benched at least somewhat late in our first game for 2 fumbles.
We'll see if playing the Ravens' D has any lasting effect on short rest for you guys. Also your secondary is still a little banged up, no? There were just tons of opportunities down the field for us that we didn't take advantage of against you the first go round, I imagine if you're secondary is still banged up there will be more. Since he finally got the starting job, Kelley has been pounding the ball pretty well for us, getting better each game, I think. Dallas is allowing over 4 yards per rush (20th in the league)...might need to try to play some ball control and keep your D on the field longer than they are used to.
Honestly I think it has to be more of a shootout for us to have any chance, I don't see us being able to hold you guys below 20 points. Hopefully they just leave Norman on Dez to try to make him less effective, and we find good ways to limit the run. Turnovers and big negative plays will be key.
