I'm ok with just a fine for the walkie talkies since it's a first offense and there was no attempted cover up. It also doesn't look like it played any significant role since their offense didn't do a whole lot anyways.

Now just send out a memo making so all 32 teams are 100% clear on the rule and if someone else breaks it then fuck their shit up.

I think it's probably excessive (and kind of a dumb rule to begin with). But you know what? Fuck the Giants! And fuck Mara!

The shit that went on with the uncapped year is still a giant pile of horseshit. The Redskins and Cowboys were harshly punished by Mara for no apparent reason.

You don't "move on" in sports, dude!

Hell I'm still, deep down, full of seething hatred for Robert Irsay. That was 1984.

Are you still upset about that? Jesus fucking christ. Move on dude!
I don't actually care that much as I've checked out of the NFL bigly.

But that incident was enough to make me hate the Giants more than Cowboys for a few seasons. In fact, I remember on several message boards, there was some solidarity between the two fanbases because of it.

I actually find myself not even upset that the Cowboys and Giants are doing well right now.

Didn't Cleveland so this last year? Between the sidelines and GM's or something.

Fuck yeah dude. I still hate the eagles for the fake kneel down to run up the score. That was sometime in the 80's too.

After watching that Cardinals thing, it makes me think that lots of teams do internal betting, and that Steve Smith lost this one.

Yes, multiple times during multiple games he communicated with people on the sidelines. Big fine and 4 game suspension for the GM don't remember any other punishment.

Also yeah the Giants didn't get hit as hard had they fought it or tried to cover it up, though how they could have done any of that when it was pointed out by Collinsworth and Michaels as it happened live.

Glad for the OL & Dak/Zeke on the Pro Bowl nods, but disappointed Sean Lee didn't get a look in. He's been an absolute rock this season and deserved it.

Pro bowl voters might be looking for an actual complete season out of Lee before they put him back in.

The problem is that he's going up against pass rushing OLBs and they get all the glory. He's the weakside LB in a 4-3 defense that also plays a lot in a 4-2-5 spread, maybe blitzes once or twice a game, but by and large is asked to defend the run and pass cover. It's okay though, he's been a rock this year on a defense that is better than advertised. 4th in points against, 1st in defensive rushing yards per game (6th rush DVOA). Get Mo and Wilcox back and it shores up a secondary that will likely see a lot of passes. Then if they can get RGweed a few productive snaps a game, that'll be the cherry on top.

But make no mistake, Sean Lee is a huge reason for where they are, hands down. Marinelli is the General, but it's Commander Lee that gets the troops going.

Pro bowl is like an Emmy nomination or some shit. Whatever. It's always nice to see your guys make it. I'd also rather none of my fav team's players play in it. Fuck rando meaningless game injuries.

It seems to be a popularity contest. More Dallas fans need to vote Sean Lee .

Generally agree, although the injury rate is pretty low since they barely hit each other. Still it's a non zero number so there's that. Also Jarvis Landry not making the team is bullshit.

Pro Bowl has been shit ever since Sean Taylor killed that punter.

Edit: I'm not saying that's the catalyst. Or that the Pro Bowl was even entertaining prior to that...it wasn't.

I actually think the Pro Bowl went to shit when they got rid of those awesome field day type contests. It's been said hundreds of times, but I'd much rather watch a bunch of the fastest players compete in a 40 yard dash, and the best QB's in the league throw footballs at trash cans, than the bullshit that the Pro Bowl is.
