Texans were +14 going into the Pats game and lost by 3 on a last minute drive, with 2 opportunities to win. Yeah they are better than dallas.

Yeah...I'm just wondering how they were anywhere near the running for worst in the league. Browns, Bengals pretty much cover that list.

Ambi tough to hate on Dak at this point. Hell of a play. Wish Arizona would get it together. Winnable game.

Rams 1st place! Thanks Dallas, looking forward to see what Rams team shows up next week. Why the fuck is it an early game? Bullshit.

So on that "best division" talk from after Week 1, NFC Beast was 3-1 this week only loss was Giants to the Eagles. 3 divisions have 3 out of 4 teams over .500: AFC West, NFC North, NFC East (although Tampa and Miami only played 2 games each).

I mean you kick and maybe you get the ball back and have 4-5 chances at the end zone. Or you don't kick and you get one.

He should have kicked it as soon as they got in the red zone. Keeping 5 blockers in for most of the drive was dumb.

Though to be fair his kicker shanked one already I guess. Either way the play calling was suspect. The one time he kept the back in to block they had a huge gain.

My jimmes are rustled over our kicking situation. We went 7-8-1 last year due to 3 game winning shanks by Catanzaro, would've gone 10-6 and made the playoffs without those.

We replace him with Phil Dawson and he shanks the game winner last week against the Colts, then he shanks an early one tonight that would've put us up 10-0 and completely kills our momentum.

wut do?

I can see trying to score the TD first. B/c if you miss the 2 point conversion, suddenly a FG isn't enough. So if you kick the field goal then say recover the onside kick and score...if you miss the 2 point conversion you're basically fucked there. If you score quickly with over a minute left, if you miss the 2 point conversion then...it's not over yet b/c if you recover onside kick, you know you need another TD and you still have time to do so. Kicking the field goal first might save some time, but you're locking yourselves into having to score a TD AND successfully convert for 2.

Really it was just a bad decision to throw a pass that could result in a tackle in the field of play to keep clock running. Really F'd their options.

Of course they also wasted a timeout in the 4th quarter on a terrible fucking challenge. I see going for it too, but at some point you're just asking for it only keeping 5 in to block when you haven't been dealing with it well all game.

Either way though, I'd side on just seeing if you can even get the fucking onsides back anyways.

After that missed field goal and terrible extra point I would have had zero faith in kicking it.

Man that is a lot of booing. These guys know their fanbase well.

They pull that shit next week when I'm at the game, I'm going to boo them too.

After that missed field goal and terrible extra point I would have had zero faith in kicking it.

Pretty sure this is what Aryans was thinking. Get the TD now, and maybe after the on sides kick you won't ever be close enough to FG range to have to make the decision. Just start throwing hail mary after hail mary. He probably would have gone for 2 secretly hoping he didn't make it to remove the FG option entirely.

I love how people are shocked ratings were up for last night's game. Cowboys are league's biggest ratings draw. MNF in general up over last year so far, although they've actually had decent games so far compared to some of the garbage Monday night has had in recent years. Since they started letting Sunday night flex games during 2nd half of the season they get to grab majority of the good match ups.

NFL is crazy this year so far.

Dallas got wrecked by Denver, and then Denver loses to the Bills. Tennessee looks legit. The Rams might be a playoff team.

Carr and Oakland look like shit.

49ers still suck though.
