Hes not in the talk with Petersen etc right now like he was, but hes still a fucking thousand times better than Ross Cockrell or Coty Sensebaugh. He wasnt worth his contract, to the Browns analytics, but to the Steelers when your last franchise QB was Terry Bradshaw, he is worth it to make a last run or two. They did the same thing with the 2008 roster when they won that year and made it again but lost to GB in 2010. Win now mode engaged.

This also pretty much guarantees this is Ben's last year, or maybe 1 more if we're lucky.

Browns trade '15 first-rounder Erving to Chiefs

That 2014 draft man...Bills traded up to Cleveland's pick (9 to 4) to draft Watkins, Browns get Bill's 2015 1st round pick as a result (also their 2015 4th rounder) which turned into Cam Erving.

Once at 9, Browns traded up to 8 to pick Justin Gilbert of all people (giving up a 5th to move up 1 spot). Literally 7 of the next 9 picks after them produced Pro Bowlers, while Gilbert did next to nothing and ended up cut I believe. In those next 9 picks after Browns picking at 8, you had Anthony Barr at 9, Taylor Lewan at 11, OBJ at 12, Aaron Donald at 13, Ryan Shazier at 15, Zack Martin at 16, and C. J. Mosley at 17.

Then the Browns gave up their 3rd round pick to move up from 26 to 22 to draft Johnny Manziel...while they could have stood pat at 26 or even traded back as Bridgewater went 32nd, Derek Carr went 36th, and even Jimmy Garoppolo went 62nd.

I guess at least they got a pick for him, they have 13 next draft already.

Browns are kinda bad at this draft thing. There are still Browns fans who will argue Kellen Winslow Jr was better to pick than Big Ben (who was a Browns fan). Factory of Sadness indeed.

Their new FO seems smarter though. I think this Haden deal is a good move for the Browns and Steelers, they are nowhere close to a competitive team, and by the time they are Haden would be old. They could better spend that money on contracts for younger guys or maybe a QB if Kizer doesnt pan out, but even he seems to me anyways like there is promise there.

Yeah I'm dogging them for that draft, but the new front office is making the best of what they have. I actually think they had a good draft this year and 13 picks next year isn't bad. Lol @ Winslow better than Ben. That is just laughable.

Yep, AD needs to stop being a bitch -- he seems like a good guy and I think he is getting really bad counsel here from his agents. If you wanna be mad, go bitch at the union for negotiating this CBA and the rookie deal part of it. If you had been at practice already and putting the work in, you'd probably have your fucking deal by now. Same for Lev Bell who is already guaranteed to get 12/yr, I love that Antonio Brown called his ass out. Im ready for him to be gone so the Jets or someone else can spend 18 mil/yr on his stupid ass.

His agent is Todd France, same dbag agent of Joey Bosa.

Rumors are AD wants an opt out after 3 years in addition to the money. That's just fucking ridiculous, Rams have up to 4 years left of control on him if they so chose.

Sucks when you finally hit on a fucking player and have to go through this bullshit.

No surprise Burfict suspension is reduced...but to only to 3 games. Thought he would only get 1 so it still seems a bit harsh, but this is what happens when you get unlimited power (Elliot is about to find this out the hard way too).

The Bears are starting Mitch tonight against the Browns and in my opinion, he is nowhere near ready to be the second quarterback as they seem to be pushing for him.

I actually find this pretty fascinating. It just really reinforces the fact that Goodell simply dishes out punishment however he sees fit, no matter what.

I really would like for the NFL to justify why they think 6 games is a just suspension for him.

This is what's going to make me wish he fell a couple more spots in my fantasy draft when his suspension gets reduced/eliminated.

49ers defense has the potential to be really exciting in the next 2-3 years. Baalke seems to have possibly hit on a couple of his last picks as far as DL goes. The big concern is that our CBs are complete doodoo. The offense is still going to struggle with Hoyer and I'm just not sold on Carlos Hyde as anything other than mediocre. I think 5 wins is best-case.

That's the fucked up thing, Heir Rodger really doesnt really have to. I was reading an opinion piece written by a lawyer about this case and basically he said its a slim to none chance Elliot gets less than the 6, mainly thanks to the Tom Brady trial that went before an actual judge. He pointed out how precedent will generally trump everything, and the judge in the Brady trial basically said that "hey you retards agreed to give him this power in the CBA, so even if its bullshit he can paint with the widest brush known to man because you said he could". Tarnishing the shield falls under the largest grey area known to man it seems.

All that said, I still think Zeke gets it reduced to four.

Hopefully Elliot contests and instead of serving 6 games in September he serves 4-6 in December.

Heard plenty about Foster obviously, but how was Thomas looking? Lynch must have been pinching himself to get both guys Round 1 of his first draft.
