Redskins can fade once again into another 7-9 season. Sounds like losing both starting guards for the year, Trent Williams still out another 2-3 weeks at LT, and our RT has a sprained MCL. I mean, maybe the D can hold teams to under 10 points.

At least the Skins no longer have the worst Gruden as head coach.

It's cool man, at least Snyder & Jones can beat each other, and then claim a really pathetic and undeserving Wild Card spot... And then be legitimately shocked, and appalled when they play a real team in the playoffs and get destroyed.. Because they are fucking retards. And then return the next year with the same staff and say shit like, "Well it doesn't matter if we still use Norv Turner's 25-yr old playbook. If we execute, we'll win."

Speaking of which, from Peter Kings column about goats of the week:

"Jon Gruden, head coach, Oakland.

Indianapolis and San Francisco, in all games not played against Oakland this year, are 3-12. The composite score in Oakland’s last five quarters of football: Colts/Niners 55, Raiders 3. That is all."

Props to the Detriot news for making fun of Matt Patricia after admonishing that reporter for his "poor posture".

Saints beat Rams by 10 at home in the dome and they're the team to beat? Ehhhh....we'll see, I'd like our chances with a healthy Talib and Sam Shields.
If it helps the Saints have the tougher remaining schedule. Rams definitely have the easier remaining path.

Let's remember Jeff Fisher.

Yea, Rams and their record are for sure the beneficiary of the worst division in football.

Saints to me are just a better all around team slightly and head to head I see them as such

Coaching: Push (both are very well coached on both sides of the ball)

QB : Saints (no brainer)
RB: Saints (Tg3 is the best back in football, however, Kamara + Ingram is just better...the Saints could lose Kamara and still be good, the Rams would be fucked in that scenario. The ground yards yesterday played this out....141 to 92)
WR: Rams (Thomas is the best on either team, Rams as a unit has more weapons...one of the best in football in Cooks, Woods and Kupp)
TE: Saints (Watson is better than anyone the Rams have...but meh....neither unit is special)
OL: Push (Both are strengths of their respective teams)
DL: Rams (Not a big edge, the Saints are much better in run D, Rams have Donald nuff said)
LB: Push (Neither units are great)
CB: Saints (Edge to the Rams when Tailb is healthy -- Davante Adams and Michael Thomas absolutely ate Peters lunch the past couple weeks)
S: Saints: Joyner is good, but Vonn Bell, Marcus Williams and Coleman are better and Bell is a very good coverage safety in nickel which they predominantly run
Getting calls from the refs: Saints! (kiss kiss daez)

On paper the Rams D is better, but on gameday its not. You saw it yesterday, the Saints held TG3 in check and are the top rush D in the NFL... and the flipside of this they rushed for significantly more yards. The Rams got gashed by the Packers on the ground ffs, that DL should be embarrassed. The Rams also play in a division of shit high school offenses while the Saints are playing offenses twice a year ranked near the top of the league with the Bucs (2nd) Falcons (5th) and Panthers (13th) so the numbers are kind of skewed.

Donald leading basically every category (sacks/QB pressures/QB hits/TFL) is just silly. Worth the money.

Donald is definitely the best defensive player in the league, no doubt.

I think there is a strong argument to be made that Kamara is the best back in the league. I actually don't think it is even that close.

The Sainta have to play the Panthers twice still and they are a pretty good team as well. They couls be competing for the first seed as well.

The Saints are the lone team to break the Bucs Curse (2009) so I have faith in them to win it all. I would say they didn't take that Bucs game in week 16 of that season seriously but they didn't actually wrap up the #1 seed until the Vikings lost later that day, so they still had plenty to play for.
