Bears look good but I don't know if I trust Trubisky at this point to go undefeated in the playoffs. D is legit obviously.

Your right. I'm hoping this is just lingering injury and the rams d. He looked much better in the four games leading up to the dirty hit that injured him.

Yeah hes either not good or not comfortable with their style to much. Hes pretty inconsistent.

Break for the Rams there.

Not on the road, no. Same problem I have believing in Dallas. Just not sure either team can beat both Rams and Saints.

Teams have been complaining about this. Coaches basically telling QB where to go with the ball and what defense it is.

And ya collinsworh keeps talking about it.

I also think it's terrible. The NFL is trying their damn hardest to turn this into watching a Saturday game of Big 10 football. You pay these QBs around 20 million a year for the coach to tell them exactly where to throw the ball. WTF? Suddenly accuracy is at historic levels and even retards like Goff, Trubisky, Dak and Cam are completing over 60% of their passes. Hell, even Bortles and Beathard have over 60% completion rates. While it's more fun to watch scoring, I still like to see the other side get some wins too. Goodell is an utter retard so they are doing anything possible to get money back...including fucking up the game.

going to come out and say it, I thought a 1st was too much for Cooper. Mostly b/c the rumor was Dallas was only bidding against itself at that high a price. I knew he'd improve their team but was fine with them blowing a 1st for it. He's been crazy good for them, though. That offense finds a lot more ways to work just because of what he brings.

I suppose the argument can be made they were the only ones bidding so they overpaid, but without knowing the details from Oakland it's hard to say. What talk radio around here is saying was that after the complete offensive ineptitude after the first 7 games, the draft mindset became "No matter what we're taking a receiver in the first round." If that's true, I think the capital is better spent on a proven asset who can play at a pro-bowl level, even if it costs a bit more salary wise, than taking a risk on a rookie receiver and hoping they pan out.

So far, looks good. I'm in the camp to draft a QB mid round this year and see if he can compete with Dak and cut bait before signing a huge extension, but I don't think the Jones family is willing to move on. Nothing in their past has shown the ruthlessness that's needed in modern cap structure football (minus an aging Dez). The Romo back injury and rookie Dak completing 174 whatever check downs without an interception forced their hand or they never would have quit on Tony.

Obviously it's dangerous to say "we're only using our 1st on a WR". He's also just fit in better with Dallas than I think anyone expected, even if literally everyone acknowledged there wasn't any way he didn't instantly make their WR's better overall.

Well, the salary thing is one of the reason I think a lot of people didn't like the trade. They have to pay Cooper what he wants in the offseason or else it's truly a wasted pick. Given shit like Sammy Watkin's deal, that's probably going to be 16M+ a year (or at least in that neighborhood) and for at least four years I'd bet. That's a lot of money. Getting a WR on a rookie deal is probably 50 million less over those four years but, as you said, it's riskier. If Cooper continues to play like this, I think it works out even with the financial strain (though one could make the argument it would have been better to keep the pick and get him in free agency, but then you don't get the tryout to see if he really fits in or not).

It's amazing to think that this season is probably the third worst non-injury season of Aaron Rodgers' career, even though he has a 22/1 TD/INT ratio.
