I was pointing out how shittier players than Kaep have coasted to cushy jobs off fewer accomplishments. See Tony Romo for a prime example.

You're so fucking dumb you actually got the whole board defending Romo.

Romo I don’t care about. Cutler is actually pretty smart and married a woman who makes money.

Urlacher? He had a good career. I did not think he was a first ballot hall of famer but he got in. Yes Urlacher got juked by Brady and ran over by the bus....but he wrecked a lot of dudes.

Not sure how Kaepernick had a better career than him? Plus Urlacher got a great head of hair and married some chick from America’s next top model.

Yeah I can sit here and point out that everyone who pulls the usual "lololol Kaep sucks" aren't very smart...but to claim him above Romo is just silly.
lololol Kaep sucks

I'm not sure what accomplishments? Gabbert winning the starting job in 2016 over him? His 1-10 record that year or in 2015 where he was 2-6 and first lost his job to Gabbert? Before you use the shitty team excuse, remember the teams he had during his extremely short period of success(NINE all pros in 2012). Kaep did not look that much better than Smith and couldn't even keep his job for four full years after Smith...but he's better than Romo, lmao. Perfect example of flash in the pan and NFL DCs learning how to counter running QBs.

I agree he's not better than Romo (nor is it close), but it's a valid point to note how shitty a team he had (and Gabbert had, who also had worse stats generally if another win or two to show for it with the dogshit they had around both guys) the last couple years in San Fran. You look back at the receivers they had to throw to in 2016 and you just laugh.

It is. Just like it's the opposite but no less valid point to look at the plethora of stars he played with from 2012-2014. Alex Smith was just as successful and the entire team was loaded with talent. It's one of the most talented teams I've seen in the past 30 years. When people talk about his 'amazing' accomplishments, you have to look at the supporting cast and the circumstances. In today's NFL, he's a less talented Newton. His specific advantage is gone and he never really adjusted to that. I will say he protected the ball extremely well his entire career. Smith would be proud.

All of that is valid, nowhere did you see me claiming he was as good as Romo whatsoever. I literally made a point to quote that guy's point and say no, that's fucking retarded...but it's also nearly as retarded when the typical "lol he sux" comes out. Start of last season, anyone with knowledge would have ranked him a lower/bottom tier starter, good backup level. That's completely separate from any extra issues all the extras with him would have caused, just simple football. I think it's completely understated how great those Niners teams were and how quickly they fell. The funny thing is, had the refs called defensive holding/pass interference on that 4th and goal...they all might have a Super Bowl ring, the whole Harbaugh drama and leaving to go to Michigan might not ever happen, etc.

Good retort on why Kaepernick doesn't suck. FYI, he sucks.

Daez and I poke fun occasionally. If you're definition of suck is lower tier starter, high end backup in the league (at the start of last year at least, who knows what a year plus has done to erode some skills), then sure. If it's not, you're just going full retard with it. Not as bad as claiming he's better than Tony Romo, though.

So what you're saying is; the only time Kaepernick did anything was when he took over a retardedly good team from Alex Smith midseason and the following year (when running QBs were all the rage before defense coaches figured them out)?

He went 17-6-1 with an amazing team and the new-factor of running QBs and then after that he went 11-24, lost his job, and became a giant faggot (maybe because he started to realize he was shit at football and needed something to fall back on???).

Good quarterbacks can still get results with shit receivers. Shit quarterbacks can only get results with good receivers (and lines and everyone else on the team).

Unfortunately the same is true of Earl with the Hawks :( I knew it was going to end, I had just hoped for it to end better than this.

He pretty much hates the Seahawks/Carroll.

I know. I just wanted it out there because it's a common excuse. I was nipping it in the bud from possibly another party. He is definitely low tier starter/ top notch backup level. He has talent and that was an iffy call just like the Canes/OSU one in college. Could definitely have a ring to wear during his paid Nike protests lol

On to the other guys, I understand their position but they are selfish as hell. There will be issues the team has to deal with all season. Why add extra to your 'brothers'? That's why I hate athletes being considered role models. There are much better options out there than, "I gotta make mine no matter what, bro!" I want my kid to grow up like that!

The Seahawks are really looking like they are set up for a miserable season. Without Wilson, they might be a 1-2 win team. With him, it's hard to see them getting more than 5-6.

Not with the level of "shit" receivers him and Gabbert had that year or two. Along with the dead fucking last ranked defense in both scoring and yards in 2016. There's a limit to what a guy of his caliber can do in that situation, and that's the entire point...there's a large gap between "Romo level" and "fucking sucks". You don't go 1-10 throwing for 16 TD's against only 4 picks without some "help" from a truly shitty team.

Anyways, the main point of the whole thing was to point out claiming that just because his Niners team went to a Super Bowl doesn't make him better than Romo. That shit is laughable.
