It's pretty sound logic laid out in the article. Who is gonna take a chance on him when a single dirty hit is gonna see him miss the rest of the season again? Might be different if he had the talent to back up that kind of risk, but he doesn't and never did.

Objectively false. He had 2-3 years of pure dominance with the Bengals. He called all the plays and made all the plays. Defense was significantly worse when he was off the field. It just didn't last after the suspensions started racking up.
