Man, anyone else remember how the chiefs were down 24-0 5 minutes into the second quarter of the divisional round against Houston and went into halftime up 28-24?

Good times.

Good times.

Deshaun Watson went 31/52 for 388 yards and 2 TD with 0 Int's. He also had 37 yards rushing on 6 carries and a rushing TD. He gets credit for a playoff loss.

In 2009 in an AFC Wild Card game, Joe Flacco went 4/10 for 34 yards and 1 Int. He had 5 yards rushing on 6 carries. He got credit for a playoff victory. In New England.

Wouldn't really work since I think their contract essentially freezes for the year and they'll just be making much less this season and coming back another year older in a game people age out of very quickly.

Yeah but maybe if I got a new contract this year I might be motivated to play instead of sitting out. I wonder if they opt out of they can change their mind later in the year.

Nope.

The opt-out decision is final and the players won’t be allowed to return. Players with preexisting conditions get a $350,000 stipend and those who opt out for other reasons receive $150,000. That is an advance on their 2021 salaries.

These are the kind stat stories I like to see. Flacco was trash but had an idiot savant playoff appearance. People shit on Dalton but look at his head to head record against Flacco. Helps that AJ always went off against the Ravens.

Do people shit on Dalton? It's not like the poor guy has ever had a team to work with.

He absolutely did 2012-2015. Those teams were very good. Burfict before he went crazy and subsequently sucked, Carlos Dunlap and Geno Atkins at peak form, a receiving corp of Marvin Jones-Sanu-Aj, young Gio Bernard, healthy Tyler Eifert, Andrew Whitworth holding LT, a young and dominant Adam Jones. But Marvin Lewis was the coach and blew it with all those good teams.

I pointed out his overall playoff record, cause he had multiple chances to make a run and never did. I don't think he's a bad QB, just clearly not one that can do certain things out there compared to other ones. Most of the time he won't lose you a game, but he has a hard time going out and winning one for you if it is on him. This is all pre-leg injury of course. No idea if he will ever even see the field again, but the fact he's at where he is after that is just crazy and mad respect for that battle should go to him for that.

Smith's playoff record in KC was bad. But he still deserved to play again under Harbaugh. He had four or five Q4 comeback wins that first season with Harbaugh? I remember that season well. Because that was Dalton's rookie year, expectations for both our teams were terrible, and I had just moved to SF a few months prior. We played each other in Week 3. We were both 1-1 and fans of both teams thought we were awful teams. And that game did no favors to our beliefs. And then we both went on to actually be good teams and make playoffs.

Then he got hurt early the next season. Alex Smith said it best: "I feel like the only thing I did to lose my job was get a concussion".

I never had a problem with Dalton (and Green obviously). Dalton always seemed middle of the pack to above average and he wasn't a scumbag.

Unlike the entire rest of the organization.

Im just asking you to be consistent.

About what? The Houston/KC game was brought up, and I was curious about what Watson ended up doing in that game. The Flacco game I think (I'm not 100% on this, but it's likely?) is the lowest passing yards in a playoff victory for a QB that played the whole game? They were one off stats. When I talked about Alex Smith I brought up his overall playoff record. I didn't bring up the Colts/KC game individually. I agreed he put up some stats in that game.
