Yeah, it hardly seems like an upgrade. Garoppolo is no Tom Brady in his prime, but neither is Tom Brady.

They're just making stupid clickbait stories about every single team. I see a new one (or 5) every time I go to check if anything official has happened yet. The other day it was the Colts I think, and Patriots picking up Dalton was another one.

Yes, the 49ers chatter is real, Curran said. And it’s a mutual thing, with Brady interested in the 49ers, and the 49ers interested in Brady. And then the 49ers could simply trade Jimmy Garoppolo back to the Patriots.

Now see, this is something I could see as something Darth Bill would try to pull off. Brady gets a team on the verge and Darth Bill gets his next QB.

That just sounds so insanely stupid for the Niners and even worse for the Titans. In the first place there's no fucking way Brady is actually still worth the price his name/legacy commands, and it's not like Jimmy G was stinking it up last season. And Tannehill was one of the best QBs in the league last season.

Meanwhile Brady is coming off an extremely mediocre season, and while it's hard to guess how much of that was due to a lack of receiving talent you have to assume at least some of the decline was age-related.

I'd love to see Aaron Donald get 2 games worth of cracks at Tom Brady, make it so.

only reasons Brady would be interested in the 49ers is the potential for another ring on a different team to really cement his legacy AND he's originally from the area

Brady would be interested because they are on the verge and he grew up as a fucking ginormous 49er fan. He was at "The Catch" game as a kid. The problem is, Jimmy G was 5th in TDs last year and had a 102 QB rating. Lynch would be a colossal dipshit to trade that away for a 1 year rental.

When Manning was on his last legs, the Denver thing made sense because they had nobody. Jimmy G isn't the 2nd coming of Joe Montana, but he's probably the best QB we've had since Young and definitely the best since Garcia.

It makes sense for Brady. He grew up in the Bay Area and was a 49er fan as a kid, and it would give him a shot at another ring. It doesn't make sense for the 49ers at all.

The only team Brady actually makes sense for is the Patriots. They don't have a backup plan or young QB that has been groomed for the job yet. Kraft wants him a Patriot for life and Brady deep down wants to be a Patriot for life.

All the other teams have an equal or better option that is younger and probably cheaper.

PFF Mock Draft is pretty different than most of the one's I have seen.

If at least 50 percent plus one of the dues-paying members of the NFL Players Association vote in favor of the proposed CBA, no player will be suspended during the next decade for testing positive for marijuana or any other substance of abuse.

Players in stage one of the program who test positive face no penalty at all, other than being advanced to stage two. In stage two, positive tests result only in fines.

For the first violation, the player loses one half of a game check. For the second violation, he loses a week’s pay. For the third violation, it’s two weeks’ salary. For the fourth and all subsequent violations, it’s a three-game fine. While that can get expensive, the player will still be allowed to play.

That's a pretty big leap. Marijuana I was expecting but not the leap to any drug not on the performance enhancement list.

Chargers traded Okung for a guard from Carolina. So we currently have no tackles. Guess we are drafting some.
