As a Packer Fan, I am obviously happy they are 2-0 with a pair of division wins. LaFleur clearly met Rogers halfway on the run pass balance (I think we have been damn near 50% this season) and is letting him open things up more. The Offensive Line is clicking. The Defense is suspect at the moment, but every D has been shakey early in games this year and I think some of that is not having any preseason. The Defense is going to have to improve its pass rush if we are going to be a contender, though.
But...... The opponents have not been stellar and I do not trust this team until I see them beat down an actual well rounded team that has actual playoff aspirations. The Lions are, well, the Lions and apparently trying to see how little talent they can keep on their roster before Stafford finally bails. The Vikings are in freefall, between the Bradford effect kicking in and Zimmer's asshole coaching style breaking the will of the team, especially their defense. Zimmer dumping Bridgewater may be one of the biggest mistakes that guy has ever made. Between how well Bridgewater filled in for Brees (and honestly New Orleans should have kept him too) and the message it sent about how he values his players as men, I think the team has checked out on Zimmer. So beating up garbage teams means little to me. Lets see how they do against NFC playoff squads before I get excited.
