"It was her turn."

But seriously, the lack of votes probably has everything to do with Wilson not getting them close to a ring since Lynch packed his bags and the fact that everyone who plays with him hates him. Also, his signature move of "toss it deep and wait for the flag" grates on a lot of people. Not saying the guy is not good and that team certainly has nothing without him, but MVP votes are a lot of times based on more than just what happens on the field. And to be fair, with Aaron Jones on our team, Rogers will likely (deservedly) not be on the discussion list for MVP this year himself. But I feel Rogers has always been the better passer and QB, without the monster defense Russel has had to back him up. (or Jesus evidently)

A couple weeks ago we had a conversation about how underrated Wilson is. Dude is never in top QB lists and never had a single MVP vote. He 100% doesn't get the attention he deserves over the years. He has this weird perception of being a mobile QB despite putting up legit passing numbers year in and year out with a relatively weak supporting cast.

Izo Izo this kind of shot would be intramuscular wouldn't it? How bad do you have to fuck up to puncture a lung?
I do it US guided, always, to get as close to a specific nerve, never miss. This sounds like an elder orto / quack. Inflicting a ptx is n00b territory, especially on the thorax/neck. What does Synj Synj think?

To be fair Rodgers said this is the first time in 15 years his arm has felt good coming into the season.

I don't buy it, he finished ranked 6th and a game away from a Superbowl appearance which he literally carried the team to victories.

I thought the same thing.

Using some pain meds/steroids to help alleviate rib pain which is never really a great idea, probably was free handing it and not using an ultrasound but who knows.

In case it's not obvious, the white things in the middle are a cross section of the ribs, this is generally what you would do for a thoracentesis (drain fluid from the pleural space). But if he was fucking around with the ribs higher up...doc stung himself.

Two season MVP wins for Rodgers, Wilson has never even had a single MVP vote.

At least he got two votes over Jackson for All Pro QB.

I love these Three guys, but they took a lot of heat for not voting Lamar to All Pro.

If your not listen to the NFL channel on Sirius radio your missing a huge NFL fix. I only have Sirius for the sports talk (never pay full price)
Pat Kirwin and Jim Millers "moving the chains" is my favorite radio show. I love Bill Polian well but that's more about him building the Bills team with the 4 Superbowl runs as GM.

Broncos bringing in Blake bottles. Lots of contenders for Trevor Lawrence.

Wilson's a great QB, but you're crazy or just incredibly biased if you think he should have won MVP over Jackson last year or Mahomes the year before.

He's been one of the best the last few years, but had never been the actual best any of them.

Not sure anyone has said that. What we have said is its crazy that he has received ZERO MVP votes.

Why is it crazy if he was never the best in a single season, which is what the metric is based on?

I think the idea behind MVP is the guy who makes the most difference in if his team wins or loses. In the past when he had Lynch to lean on and that ridiculous defense, Wilson could not really make that claim as decisively. I think he can make a better argument for it now, especially with the Roidhawk Defense not playing up to prior standards. I think Rogers won't get the nod for the exact same reason, even if he sustains his current level of play, because he has a much better team around him this year than in the past. As much as Wilson is good, he frankly does not mean as much to his team as Mahomes or Jackson did the last two years. And if I am being honest, I think that we would still win games as well if Rogers goes down because he has a line and running back for the first time since the last time we lucked into a ring.

MVP is really more about the guy who puts the team on their back, which is why Wilson has been largely overlooked until now and Rogers got all that love a few years ago. And its just a fact of the NFL that you have more chances to show that trait when your defense is not up to par. My personal feeling is that Mahomes is the front runner this year, because clearly KC is in big trouble without him.

Alright, reading the NYT report on week 2 injuries. They are talking about the Jets - 49ers game. Too many niners went down! There are concerns it may have been the new turf. Then the writer pulls out the absolute gem:

For those of you who thought Monday night's game with Seattle and NE was good, wait until you see tonight's game with Miami and Jacksonville!

...what? No, this game isn't going to be amazing. It's going to make you say, "WOW THAT MONDAY NIGHT GAME WAS EVEN MORE AMAZING RELATIVE TO WHATEVER THE HELL IS ON MY SCREEN RIGHT NOW!"

At least we had a couple good days of memes.
