It lets the vets build endurance (less injury) and defenses get their timing down. Its also evident that the players general aversion to extra workouts has actually increased their risk (duh) so I have zero sympathy for the injury pile up. Thats what you get for having a high risk job and not doing the needed prep time for it.

The defense thing is the real kicker this season. With no pre-season, almost all of the defenses look absolutely dogshit. I also think the lack of any crowd noise on the field of play is impacting the defenses around the league indirectly, by making audibles and hard counts more effective.

Ya....unless you play the giants, jets or trubisky each week? Your defense looks bad. Maybe by week 6 to 8 they catch up?

Don’t get me wrong as I love a good shootout between two great QB’s. But I also love a great D coordinator who has a master plan.

Yeah that Tunsil trade was real costly. Dolphins line is always shitty, but it's hard to turn down that much draft capital for just about anyone. Also, the first 3 games Houston played were against BAL, KC, and PIT. most teams come out of that 0-3. Losing to the Vikings on top of it isn't great though, although people did expect them to be better than they are at this point as well.

It depends. Most teams may make it out of that schedule 0-3 but those teams aren't supposed to be title contenders. That's exactly what BOB has sold to the owner and fans the past 3 years. That's exactly what having the highest paid roster should give you. Losing to the Vikes is unacceptable and so is the rest of BOB's work. The Dolphins OL looks a lot better the last few games. If I could trust the coaching and Fitz, I'd be a lot happier with the Dolphins.

Well at least Bob was handed a turd initially. Look at McCarthy has managed to do with a playoff regular roster in just one short offseason on the job. Everyone remember the press jacking themselves off over how awesome the Cowboys did in the offseason? Guess we saw how that panned out. And meanwhile every single time I see an ex-cowboy playing on another team, they are kicking a lot of ass. Having seen what McDoofus does to a team first hand, I actually almost feel bad for Cowboy fans. And my closer friends in Texas hate my ability to Nostradamus every single McDumbass playcall and decision as the games happen in real time down here in Texas LOL.

That's fair enough, but not sure how many people really have Houston as real title contenders. Likely winners of a mostly shit division sure. But, did anyone really put them on a level with KC or Baltimore? Tunsil obviously helped a lot, but their interior lineplay is awful and they made some bad trades. Obrien is a mediocre coach, but he's a legit terrible GM.

Yeah tons of journalists picked the Cowboys to go to the superbowl at the beginning of the season. That's looks like a pretty stupid call right now. There's no hype like Cowboy's hype.

Without the crowd noise, the offensive line is getting off the snap at the exact right time now. WHen its drowned out sometimes they miss the count and get off when they react to the DL moving. So they arent getting beat off the ball as much. This is supported by the fact that holding calls are down by 60 percent. Guys arent getting beat, the offense is facing much less long yard downs, and just as a whole they arent disrupting offenses with the noise.

The Cowboys are lucky their division is a dumpster fire. So they will more than likely make the playoffs.

First time in a long time the Dolphins allowed fewer than 10 sacks in a 4 game stretch. Also, for perspective, Miami has a -3 point differential vs. opponents with an 11-4 record. Cleveland has a -2 PD against opponents with a 6-9-1 record.

I hope Miami gets a top 5 pick that we can trade back for even more picks next year. I think itll be Top 10 though, regardless of if BoB is still coach or not.

This isn't really meant to be Miami's year, but the Oline is solid, and I'm encouraged by how we performed vs. Seattle, only allowing 1 TD pass by Wilson until late in the 4th when they got 2 more.

Onto the 39ers! (Or do they have enough players to be called the 49ers again)?

facing a semi prevent

That's an integral part of kellen moore's offense. Trick the other team into playing a prevent defense. They don't realize they are playing right into his ruse when they score all those points off of turnovers early in the game.
