Ya, his deal makes it smart to move on from it. Saints getting a steal on him.

ESPN article on if the AFC East race is over. Nowhere is safe for Chargers fans, not even in articles outside their division.

NE really needs a game manager QB to do what Bill wants, which is why I think he was (by his standards) so publicly upset when they traded away Jimmy G. Assuming Bill wants to hang around and prove he is the one with the mojo, I would aim for someone like that. Problem is there are not a lot of guys like that out there for the taking. All the halfway decent QBs in circulation right now are either head cases, inconsistent, or go off the reservation constantly. Cam is all three, but they have to ride him out for this year at least since they have no one waiting in the wings.

The Fire Anthony Lynn training is starting to gain a lot of momentum now. I wonder if itll happen in season. He was on my hot seat list going into the season. Honestly surprised he has lasted this long.

The triumphant return of Alex Smith in NE next season would be a nice story. Don't know if he's got it in him though. He's 36 years old on top of the previously exploded knee.

Have to wonder if GarapaGOAT days are numbered and at what cost that will set the 9'ers back
I wonder too. Good Jimmy does exist and we saw him in the first half of the Eagles game this year until he sprained his ankle. Didn't see him before that though and we sure haven't seen him since but that could be chalked up to the ankle not being fully healed.

With regard to the contract, the Niners are great at writing team friendly contracts so I'm guessing that it isn't too bad. It would be pretty funny to trade him back to Belichick for a first round pick after getting him from them for a second rounder. Not likely but it's an imaginable scenario with the current state of the Patriots.

There was a lot of buzz after the super bowl loss that Jimmy G was probably on his way out. I cannot see them bringing him back again. Hes been injured every season except 2019. And if they cut him they save $25 mil.

But as a Seahawks fan I hope they keep him.

Garoppolo isnt owed any money after this year. Which is kind of crazy when you think about the dollar amount he signed for, and it was only 3 years ago, not even.

I am torn on him, just like I was on Kaepernick. its OK for 49er fans to support Jimmy, and its also OK for them to say he is trash. Its so frustrating trying to gauge how much value your guy has. Both of those 49er QBs took them to the Super Bowl, but yet basically drove off a cliff not even 2 years later.

Its also disappointing when I think about last years draft. I was super high on metcalf and wanted the 49ers to take him so bad. Of course they pass on him then take Deebo Samuel, who is a good young player, but he cant stay healthy. What use is a guy if he cant be on the field.

On the other side of that coin, him and guys like Kittle are so goddamn physical when they have the ball, they dont shy away from contact and it takes its toll. Kittle is fantastic but he too has now dealt with multiple injuries. Ill say it again, 49ers need to fucking fire their entire str and conditioning staff.

Chris Simms nailed it. If Im the Bengals Im looking to one of these teams needing a WR and dealing AJ Green for whatever you can get. Burrow, Mixon, Higgins, Boyd....you have your future core right there get what you can to a team like idk, the Saints maybe, who are in contention but need a WR.

AJG to Green Bay maybe. They dont have anyone other than Adams to catch a ball. But his contract for the season is insane. Bengals would have to eat some of it for sure.

I really feel like one of Green or Brandin Cooks is going to move somewhere.
