I could be convinced that it was just a snap decision for getting slashed in the hand. He meant to hit him, but not entirely sure you are aiming for the face. Looks more like he wanted to just tap/tug him but that's a wicked dick move. I originally thought when he went over to Carter while he was down he was giving the old "Take that bitch!" but it looked like he truly was trying to apologize. Heat of the moment stuff, it's happened to me before and you just shake the guys hand after the game and eat crow.

No see, you're reading it all wrong. It was absolutely hilarious. He even timed it flawlessly. Just as he reaches...hah. You can't watch it without secretly chuckling. Thing is, half of the chuckle is the knowledge that it's a complete confirmation of how much of a douche Sid is. Nothing wrong with that at all in hockey, other than Pens fans who never admit that obvious truth.
