Wonder how bad the Pens will kill us tonight? Supposedly Laich and Orlov finally healthy and making their season debuts, which means only about half our D is banged up and we're finally getting back a guy who's a legit top 6 forward. I know Orlov got to play a few games down at Hershey but pretty sure Laich has had no game time since he got hurt playing in Switzerland. I'm expecting a 5-2 loss. Maybe we'll manage 3 goals since Fleury will probably be in net.
Gardiner finally called up to the Leafs with Hozler sent down.I assume that means he will get top pairing with Phaneuf.
Kadri looks like he will be promoted to the second line between Lupul and Frattin, at least that was the line in practice and Colton Orr on the third line again-he's versatile-can fight from there too.
Also Morgan Reilly(CHL team didn't make playoffs) is being sent to the Marlies, so more help on the D is coming, we might get to see him this year.
A minor trade with the Caps might be part of something bigger to come, or not, who knows.We got a defenceman and the Caps a forward.The Leafs have defencemen up the wazoo so it's an odd trade.

Hahaha I know how you feel. We've played you guys pretty well tonight so far, not unhappy at all with how we've looked. Laich and Orlov seem to be getting in some good work too, crazy they missed this entire time only to make their season debuts same night. Not sure what to expect in the 3rd, but we've outdone my expectations for tonight already.
With Florida up 3-0 on Carolina too it fulfills both keeping alive the thought of winning the division and getting Florida some points for possible draft position considerations too.

Leafs put Mike Komisarek on waivers and at 4.5 million cap hit will unlikely be picked up.So... off to the Marlies for him.That opens up a roster spot for Morgan Rielly, or a trade.
