Erhoff was trying to check him off from his pursuit of the puck and Ovechkin essentially braced himself. 2 minutes for not getting knocked off his feet and Erhoff being an idiot and landing badly. At worst his arm lays on Erhoff's shoulder. There's no clutch, no grab, nothing. This is basically a guy fighting through a check to get to the puck but Erhoff was an idiot and landed on his head. Trailing ref is looking right at it and doesn't even immediately raise his arm for a penalty (not even sure if he was the one who called it, was probably Peel who did, because Peel).
No, not really. I see his arm almost stay motionless just shielding his body, at most just pushing outward as force to protect against the incoming check. Any motion of it is due to Erhoff's contact, and not any action by Ovechkin. I think seeing any "pulling" is blind homer shit on your part the other way. Agree to disagree.
