Holtby looking impressive tonight. Certainly not giving up anything easy.
Thought the 2nd one was a little soft from that angle. Give you guys credit though you controlled the majority of the play. Overall I did think Holtby looked pretty good. Johannson was snake bit like hell tonight, nice to see him take his shots when Ovechkin was out at least.

Dudes nails, i'm sure it's minor. Just speaking to the fact that he won't be having yet another multi goal game and only because he isn't playing. If he was, i'm sure he'd have at least one by now with the way he's been playing.
Just hurts when the secondary guys aren't having one of their "on" games. Had to rely on a seeing eye shot on a bad angle from Glencross to get us on the scoresheet. Not that our PP minds the 1/1 night, but only other guy who even seemed close all night was Johannson with 2 posts and forcing a pretty decent glove save from Dub that he didn't even get all of, just enough to deflect the shot wide (which is all that matters).

Nice to play Buffalo.

New acquisition Glencross 1+2, Ovechkin 1+1, Backstrom 2 assists. Backstrom actually passed Ovechkin on career assists on Ovechkin's goal, then they both assisted on a Johannson late goal. Backstrom now tied with Michal Pivonka for all time Caps lead with 418 assists, Ovechkin at 417. Would be kind of funny if AO was that close to being the all time Caps leader only to have Backstrom overtake him (and likely to never be behind him again assuming they both stay healthy and he gets a bit of separation)

Fuck Fleury Grimm, I was hoping Holtby could catch him for the shutout lead. Kings were all over your guys most of the game last night, but Fleury did the job. I will say in OT Kings looked totally on the back foot and it seemed a matter of time before Pens won it.

Pens managed 16 shots in regulation, Fleury should get that W all to himself.

2 SO ahead of Holtby now, with 7 less games played.

Weirdly Fleury is kind of shit in shootouts this season. Maybe that bodes well, he's always been crazy good in shootouts then he chokes in the playoffs when they don't matter. God if Fleury can play like this come playoffs...and Geno keeps it up...and Horny gets back on pace...

I have to stop myself before the hopes are too high.

I only have to watch the Rangers play to not get my hopes too high, despite how well both AO and Backstrom are playing along with our improved blueline and Holtby in net. Same 1-0 OT win on the road as you guys, only they didn't get dominated all game. Was a pretty good game with Chicago today other than no goals until OT.

Rags look sick right now. Lundqvist or no Lundqvist.

I'm looking forward to Wednesday, which is a rarity. 3 days off between games is nice, even as just a shitty fan it gets tiring.

Preview of the Stanley Cup Finals last night in Chicago!

Trying real hard not to talk about the way the Rangers are playing for fear of jinxing myself as I am wont to do, but post can't come soon enough. Talbot is looking amazing and I can just picture Sathir salivating as his worth as a starter keeps rising. Defense has been damn near perfect keeping everything soft and to the outside. Great line symmetry (third line has been an absolute joy to watch, Hayes has an amazing pair if hands), great passing all around and forecheck and puck cycling has been the best I have seen from the blueshirts in awhile. Only thing missing is MSL but I have faith he will come to life again come playoffs.

Isles and Caps back to back is gonna be a real test, especially for Talbot. I think we'll beat the brakes off the Isles (hoping the Leafs show up tonight), but the Caps should be a tough one with the way they have been playing. Gonna be a fun few days either way though.

Love how they played their backup tonight. They scurred. Leafs need one more for me to be convinced the Isles won't steal another point(s).

That game showed how bad the Hawks miss Kane on the power play. He normally is the one that handles entries into the zone and without him they kept getting stopped or having to dump and chase.

Heh, I couldn't of been less suprised.

Figures Okposo gets cleared to play tonight.

Yeah, no doubt that would of been a different game with Kane particularly on the PP, but overall it would of been a similar outcome. Rangers were just a step ahead most of that game. Yes, homer.

Yep. That's what happens when you remove a PPG scorer from a team. It doesn't change the eventual outcome whatsoever. That one to nothing game would have definitely still ended one to nothing.

No one said the score would of been the same. You should watch the Butterfly Effect. It's a great movie and the Kushter is super dreamy.

I hope the Isles tire out your Rags good tonight. Green missed practice tonight and so did Backstrom (although Backstrom just seems to be under the weather and will likely be fine for tomorrow night). Green...who knows, upper body thing for him, which could be anything given his history.
