Aaaaand Carlson with the idiotic pass ends any shot in this game. Talbot was great tonight, missed Orpik and Green a lot on the back end. Really hate worrying about our secondary scoring this much.

Aside from some really dumb penalties early on it was a pretty good game. Some real brutal checking going on both sides all game. Once again I think Talbot was our best player. That stop on Backstrom was just..... wow. Big pressure in the third from the Caps but he stood tall.

Feels good at the top = )

Caps look like a dumpster fire. Orpik for MVP, results speak for themselves. Needs more grittership.

Sharks are probably going to miss the playoffs. They need an estimated 13 of their next 19 points and all they've got a tough as hell road trip ahead. This is disappointing.

Difference being the sample size. We'll just assume everyone's streaks keep going and the Capitals miss the playoffs by 8 points then while Boston and Ottawa take the wildcards.

Sounds likely.

Too bad Philly couldn't take care of business. No ROW for Ottawa at least. Backstrom passed Pivonka for #1 in assists all time for Capitals.

League GM's recommended 3 on 3 in some format for regular season OT, and limited video review challenges. Supposedly they would only want to allow coaches to challenge a scoring play involving possible goaltender interference or delay of game penalties when deciding whether a puck was shot straight or deflected off something.
