Still, we're not going to get wins with Binnington in net. Apparently "politics" is the reason we couldn't get logan thompson on the team.

Its too bad they can't play a home game for each country. Would be nice to see Finland and Sweden rooting for their home teams.

That's an awesome idea. Of course the travel for the teams would be absolutely insane, but it really would be great to see.

And I'm so glad Canada won. Team Canada all the way.

Boo our anthem will ya? Thought admittedly I bet both the brothers wanted a fight no matter what tonight, because one of the most iconic highlights of the last US/Canada game in a world cup featured an iconic fight by their dad.

And the first penalty was right after that for running Crosby into the boards if I saw it correctly (was getting a drink when it happened) . heh

But my goal is they win tonight (w/o OT). That locks them in for the final.

Nice to see Larkin get one. I understand him being a 4th line winger (though outside of faceoffs, he's a better center than Trochek) but to not put the #2 PP goal scorer on the powerplay is fucking criminal.

Btw if Americans want to know why Canadian are booing during your anthem, ask for your president and his awesome tariffs why (oh hey doesn't he want us as the 51st state too?)

Also great game, Canada's goaltending is going to sink us.

Not to be funny - it's apparently politics.

Two of the Assistant Coaches on Team Canada were/are from the Golden Knights (Cassidy and DeBoer). They had a falling out with Logan Thompson, to the point it got really nasty(?)

That's why Thompson didn't even get a call despite the numbers he's been putting up.

If we lose this tournament, there's gonna be blame over goaltending, and it's gonna be worse than what our Junior team faced this year!

Edit: Had to update based on more stuff I read about the Thompson situation. Still kind of dumb - can't put up with a goaltender for a small tourney?
