I don’t know how successful the tournament really was. Canada vs USA was immensely successful for sure but how did the rest go.

How many people would have watched a Finland vs Sweden final?

I’m they could just do a best out of 3 Canada vs USA and it would prove more popular than the 4 nations format.

Maybe I’m projecting because personally I didn’t give a shit at all to anything but the final. Even the round robin game between Canada vs USA I didn’t pay attention to.

Those US/Canada games were some of the greatest games ever played. I feel like the injuries are going to put a damper on it be a common reoccurrence though. I don’t think the league expected them all to play big boy hockey.

Yea I think keeping the international tournies to 4 years at yhe Olympics should be the standard. Or something in the off season. It kind of cheapens it if it's every year. It's just this has been the first in forever so the hype was real.
