I bought the original top of the line LCD back not long after they launched, and I skipped the OLED update because at this price point it's just not worth it IMO to buy every revision of something like this. I figure they will release one with updated hardware eventually and that's when I'll get a new one. Honestly if Steam announced a new Steam Deck with more powerful hardware today I think I would buy that over a Switch 2 because I just see myself getting far more use out of that, especially while the Switch 2 is still in it's first year as a new platform. Heck Microsoft's new Xbox handheld has me interested and questioning if I would rather have that over a Switch 2 as well as I can apparently take advantage of all the Xbox games I bought over the years that also work on Windows and those games can be bought relatively cheap these days as well.

yeah I forgot about Xbox’s handheld. If that runs Steam as well then it’ll be a purchase for me for sure.

Preorders for the Switch 2 opened in Sweden today — around $746 for the bundle and $673 for the base console. I was pretty hyped about the backwards compatibility until I learned it’s a mix of software and hardware solutions (and price).

Those cartridges were never that expensive in any store, that had to be some sort of mail order ad bullshit.

Strider was probably the most expensive normal cartridge around that time frame at 69.99 at any retailer.
