For $20? I'd wait for this summer update to see what it brings, but with the current state of the game I'd still say why the fuck not? You'll get at least 5-8 solid hours (probably more) of decent fun.

If you're into chill exploring, yeah. If you want any sort of gameplay a lot of people can argue against it which is fair.
Although there's apparently more info to come for this big patch, I'll hold my breath for anything revolutionizing the game, but I'm gonna check it out regardless. Honestly I just want to explore space with bros.

I played after the second major update and it was what I would consider a worth about 20 at that point. You can now build your own base, drive, race, etc. I set up a nice base somewhere which looked really good in 4k HDR, but then after about 15 hours got bored. I'll check it out again this summer.
